That's £170k.
Very surprised we are paying fees on players, given how many signings we need to make.
I won't complain if he's a revelation, of course.
Just hope it doesn't deter in anyway the number of players we need in, twelve to fifteen this window, and that's if no-one else leaves. We could even need up to 18 players.
Our squad is tiny currently.
Of the 200k most of it is performance based, how the club do this season is what I heard.

I seen a Croatian article saying we had paid that but the way United have announced it doesn’t look like we have paid a fee, more than likely what wardy is saying add ons of 200 k

I want us to sign a decent keeper next, once that’s taken care of the team will look a lot better.

I like the fact that Sapsford looks like he likes to take the ball and drive at defences. Can’t remember the last decent striker we had that did that, Johnny Russell maybe?. We’ve lacked mobility up front for years, most of our strikers have been boys that play with their backs to goal or just pure finishers. Ask defenders what they hate and most will tell you it’s quick strikers that run at them.
It’s clear based on the players we’re targeting, and the ones that have left that the new evolution of Goodwin’s team is gonna be fit, physical players with pace and power and legs to run all day. In a league where most teams are of a muchness, those qualities are gonna give us a big advantage. Physicality and fitness goes a long way at this level. Iovu and Sapsford are both big boys and look very mobile, Talvitie looks pretty tall for a winger too.

I wonder if the Finish winger from Lommel is one of them.
Talvitie I think is the name.

Text off a mate there to say we're after Owen Beck that was with Dundee on loan from Liverpool. The one the fun insisted would be better than Robertson but no doubt will be shite and overrated if he ends up with us.

No chance. We don’t need him with Ferry there.

Don't know where he pulled it from so pinch of salt and all that. Was my first thoughts as well that Ferry is probably our most sellable asset...

Talking of assets worth selling, I see Sunderland are about to offer 10 Million for Lennon Miller,TEN FUCKING MILLION! for a player who's club finished in the bottom 6 and has pretty much achieved fuck all so far. Is someone taking the piss?

Sapsford a la Youtube looks excellent.
Iuvo unknown quantity, although somebody said Svelje recommended him.
Other than that I've got the jitters - as of right now, albeit you'd expect two, three max to come in + Cleall Harding we've gone from last years threadbare squad to more or less the same this year and again (at this stage) glaring omissions.
- Makes the decision to let Docherty all the stranger.

We are not going to only bring in 3 more, that would be utter madness and I think if his hands were tied that tight Jim would be offski in a flash

Mate I hope so I really do, but we're down to loanees and out of contract guys not to mention that of the guys you bring in irrespective of Jim's excellent eye for a player we'll end up with at least one dud - that's just the way it falls. Not to mention foreigners bedding in to the brutality and pace of Scottish football .... jeez I'll be looking for the Prozac at this rate.
And yeah totally agree about Jim being offski if his hands were tied.

I say this with nothing but respect so please don't be offended, but I'd suggest just chilling out and trusting the process. There will be numerous more signings and both Goodwins will have an extensive list of targets. It just takes a bit of time.

A bit of faith needed that the club know what's required.
Can't expect them all to arrive on week 1

I've looked back and i don't see anyone saying it was a done deal.
I said about a week ago, he was close to signing, and i believe from the two sources i heard from that he was.
His agent has subsequently went to Breda and asked for more money. We move on.

It looks like the transfer fee will be made up over time if he hits certain targets (as Wardy alluded to above), i assume Istra will have added on a future sell-on clause also.
He still was under contract with them for two years, after all.
Quite happy with that arrangement. Good business.
