Ross Docherty our best player by miles today.
But shite according to some on here.
Thank you.
That post is a bit misleading.
Only one poster doesn't rate him. The rest of the Forum universally like the guy and rate him, but have obvious reservations about his long term fitness.
I think he is a very capable player, but we'd still be wise to wait and see how the next 5 games pan out and see if he continues this run of availability.

It was good to see SCH have a solid home debut.
After about 5mins Sidebi caught him from behind a few minutes later Sam sent him flying onto the track beside the dugouts.
That will do for me.
Two starts, two clean sheets.
Good start for the lad.
That said, i still hope Ross Graham is available Post-Split for these harder matches.

Great to get the 3 points and put pressure on Aberdeen and Hibs.
Manny has a habit of sniffing a goal from a yard out!
Lined up in a very attacking formation with Trapanovski and Middleton supporting Dalby.
We huffed and puffed, rarely clicked into gear and struggled to build creative attacks but yet again were very difficult for Saints to break down.
SCH was drawn out to the ball too often in the first half but had a much better second 45.
Do you think one day we'll fire up? Nah neither do I.

After the disaster that was the last Derby, the squad deserve praise for bouncing back so strongly.
Three hard fought 1-0 wins and three clean sheets. Getting back to basics was very important and we've done that well.
In an ideal World, Hibs will get Celtic in the first match Post-Split. Knowing our luck, it will be us.

Think most if not all were voting for his release based purely on his injury record not his ability.

I would agree that hopefully Graham is back for the last 5 games, as it stands he is the better option. But it looks to me that Sam is a better player at 19 than Ross was.

Well I can say anything about the match, except that Ehm totally chuffed we the result.
Been no weel since Thursday, so was AWOL the day, so ye dinna had to listen to my Home match drivel.
Thankfully jist a minor ailment, but p1ssed off I couldna make it the day.
Like somebody stayed, canna believe that we might be hoping that the M0ngs and the BNBs get a result the moarn.

The difference is mental when he’s in the team.
Remember saying that to a poster on here, wonder if he still thinks that 🙂

Cheers Redford. Was feeling better when we scored, and even better when Allan Preston announced the Final Whistle.

You didn't miss a classic. It was very much the usual we score one and you've nae chance. Louis Moult could have made it a more comfortable last ten minutes but his shot was cleared off the line. Saints pressed late on for an equaliser with 4 up top but couldn't create a clear chance to beat Walton.

Anyone else think we got away with that today?
For me we have played a hell of a lot better and picked up nothing this season.
However as always it's only the scoreline that matters and it's another three points and that takes us up to a more than respectable 50 points.
Too many though for me we're slack in possession and day dreaming when we weren't.
That's said two guys in particular, Gallagher and our captain time and time again step up to the mark. Both were excellent again today.
Overall it's hard to complain when you look around us, teams fighting for their lives and just look at the Jambos who have forked out fortunes.
5 games to go, third place here we come.

There's going to be a big turnover in players again this summer but yesterday showed why we need it.
Trap and Middleton who should be the creative outlets never done much, we've nothing to replace them with like for like. If we do keep either of these two on, then we desperately need to bring in competition in the wide areas.
Moult, Paton, VDS, Dalby really are so similar it's mind boggling. Whichever of them we keep on, if any, would likely be improved by having some pace alongside them to give them space.
With both the paragraphs above, it makes me wonder if Babunski dropping out of favour is less out of a falling out, but more because JG has clocked that it's wasted trying to play someone to pick out balls in behind when he has no one to play them too.

I'd only keep Dalby out of that lot.
Middleton has to go. Some say he's had a better season.
He's still scored less goals than Ross Graham, Manny Adegboyega, Luca Stephenson etc.
We need better if we are to go to the next level.

We do need better, but I don’t mind Middleton as like a 3rd or 4th choice winger. He’s on a deal from a time when Asghar was throwing Ogren’s money about like shitty paper, so unless he’s willing to take a massively reduced wage package, which I doubt, then he’ll likely be on his way, cause he definitely isn’t deserving of being one of our highest paid players moving forward.

With regards to Middleton I feel for him a wee bit, both him and Trapanovski come as a pair it seems.
We rarely see them on the park without the other due to shape and this might not be popular with some but Trapanovski for me offers very little. I would be looking at ending the North Macedonians contract.
Glenn never had his best game yesterday but very few did.
I think he will get another deal but as JD points out above just not on the nonsense terms that Ashgar was giving out.

Saturday we failed to beat a fairly poor St Johnstone with any sort of flair. If they were a half decent prem team they would have beaten us. A lot of boys running on empty. Hopefully the 2 week break allows some recharging of batteries and recovery from knocks. Even if we pick up only one further win that should be good enough for a game or two in Europe.
In terms of the game, for me, only Gallagher and Walton got pass marks. Docherty didn't have his best game for me. Competent but no more. Middleton and Trapa were not great, but we didn't really manage to get them much ball. Dalby had one of his poorer games. His touch was way off.
That said, a sign of a good team is to play poorly and win. Bring on the last 5 games!

3 x tight 1-0 wins in a row just what we needed.
I know folk have said Saturday wasn’t his best game, but when Docherty plays he changes the whole team. He must be a very good leader. If you just look at the the stats, can anyone remember one player having that much influence on our results? Maybe Robson is his last 2 seasons?

Birighitti had a massive influence on our results......
