What XI and formation would you play on Sunday?

Doesn’t matter the eleven I’d play, it does matter the eleven Jim plays and let’s hope he gets it right.

Walton
Strain Gallagher Graham ferry
Middleton sevelj docherty sibbald trap
Dalby

Assuming everyone is fit, this would be my selection too.

Could be a big day for Harding, Gallagher apparently injured.

Not ideal given he just played in that Iceland debacle.

If this is true then lineup for me would have to be:
Walton
Strain Harding Graham Ferry
Midd Luca Sevelj Campbell Fotheringham
Dalby
Don't rate Fotheringham massively but do think he offers a bit more defensively than Trap and if we're throwing a Harding in for his first start at the back then I'd rather we started off compact and let him grow in the game. Docherty to start for Campbell if he's fit also (doubt it.)

As far as I'm aware Stephenson is fit
Each to their own but I'm struggling to see how Fotheringham could be seen as a starter before Stephenson.
I would prefer to never see Fotheringham in a Tangerine shirt again
Sevelj may find himself in a 3 at the back as that's JGs favourite formation

Sometimes wonder at the reality of this thread ?
Given our conveyor belt of injuries, Jim's at times bizarre selections, bizzare use of subbies or lack therof (Docherty),lack of depth in squad etc etc.
Only concrete ones for me:
Walton
Strain Gallacher (if fit ? ) Graham Ferry
Luca Sevelj Sibbald
Trappa
Dalby
One or two of the others I'd hope never to see in Tangerine again - prefer not to go there, rather not hear about after performance which shall remain nameless.

I've got Stephenson in the team mate? I only put "Luca" so it formatted correctly as 5 in midfield Bit of a waste of time in the end as its still no working once the comments been quoted.
Did cross my mind that Goodwin might play Sevelj at the back but he really didn't impress there in pre-season / league Cup group stage.

Previously in the thread I agreed with a back 4 but the more I think about it I'm thinking Goodwin will revert to a 3 regardless of who's available a bit like what we did with Scott McMann, sorry to mention that by the way.
A vital match, we need to stop the rot. For me a draw isn't much use, it's only marginally better than a defeat in the overall ambition of where we want to be. We need to win.

Think this might well be it. He will go ultra cautious after last game. Just his nature. County have been doing quite well recently. We are not.

Gallagher definitely out. Confirmed by United 1 week after the rumour started.

The decision to sell Holt and also to put on Mani on a 1 v 1 vs Simon Murray two weeks ago are mismanagement of the highest order.
Can't see how we can possibly play 3-5-2 for the next two games.
4-4-2 for me with Holt ans Sevelj as CBs hardly ideal considering Sevelj has been our most consistent midfielder.
What a fucking shit show.

Why will Holt be playing cb for us on Sunday?

If Sibbald and Docherty are back then Sevelj wont be missed so much in the midfield.

Not sure I get you LOA, but point I am making is that two crazy decisions have left us with zero cover at the back.

Fingers crossed, hopefully he is fit and can play 90 mins, for both footballing ability and his leadership.

Well the fact you wrote 442 with Holt and Sevelj as CBs might explain his post 🤣

Cheers for pointing that out, I will put that down to having a senior moment🤣
Obviously meant Graham and Sevelj.

We all have them mate 🤣
I'd prefer the young guy Harding alongside Ross Graham tbh, otherwise we are lacking height in there and White will play havoc.

Might be my derby hangover niggling away at me but if he starts Campbell in that midfield tomorrow and it contributes to a loss I think I'm done supporting Jim Goodwin.
He did really well with formations, tactics and player selections in the early part of the season but I'm starting to get the fear that we're a busted flush.
Hoping to have renewed optimism at fulltime.
