Re: Dundee United vs Dundee - Sunday 16th March (3PM)

The worst first 45 minutes I think I've ever witnessed at Tannadice from us.

Shambles.

Re: Dundee United vs Dundee - Sunday 16th March (3PM)

Aside for 9-0 Celtic, definitely the
worst performance I've ever seen at tannadice. A very good argument for Goodwin out at this point, 3 months of poor performance.

How does Campbell start that?
Absolutely terrible from kick off to the minute he was subbed.

Fucking embarrassment!

We should’ve been at least 6-1 down at half time. An utter fucking embarrassment the lot of them.

Goodwin, get yourself to fuck.

I've seen pub teams defend better, not even joking. Fucking torn to shreds by that shower of cunts. Sick to my fucking stomach,Wee Jim would be in that dressing room at halftime slapping pusses for that performance.

Re: Dundee United vs Dundee - Sunday 16th March (3PM)

Where do you start with that, for fucks sakes?

I've never seen United dominated like that in a Derby. They ragdolled us in that 1st half and VAR has saved us from it ending up a humiliation. As, it was it was humiliating enough.

The most galling thing is they seemed to want it more and seemed much more up for it.

The defending was atrocious, Walton had a shocker, and the midfield was NON-EXISTENT first half.

Second half a stark improvement but i think a lot of that was Dundee happy to sit in and just hit us on the counter.

Tbh although we were better and scored the 2nd goal i thought we largely huffed and puffed and for about the tenth game in a row the subs didn't improve us significantly.

A very painful defeat.

To have lost to Dundee in the Scottish for the first time in many years and then lose the Tannadice Derby record is pretty fucking shameful stuff.

2025 has been a disgrace so far, and Goodwin and the players need to use this latest two week break for some very honest and open discussions in the dressing room, because the season is gonna spiral very quickly if not.

Dare i say it, some strong and harsh words need said, and it's high time Goodwin bared his teeth at a few who aren't doing nearly enough for the club, and i'll name a few (Paton, Campbell, Fotheringham, VDS).

Can't disagree with any of that. To come out and put on that level of performance was shameful and a fucking insult to the paying fans. We have been fucking shite for weeks though, that first half against Aberdeen aside. Goodwin has been found out.

can someone tell me what campbell has done that merits a place in the team?

centre half's were shite, ferry couldnt control anything, midfield were all over the place. paton, two attempts, barely reached the goal.

Tek is right they looked like they wanted it more and considering we had a our choice from a full squad and still produced that performance it is really worrying.
What a shit show from the defence and midfield and got what we deserved
Nothing
I don’t include Sevelj in that shit show.

Zero.

And, yet Goodwin keeps starting him week after week.

I ask again, what exactly has David Babunski done so wrong to now be deemed persona non grata?

Bewildering.

One of the Newspapers was linking Campbell with a move to The Rangers in the summer, take him fucking now please! Can only assume they meant Berwick Rangers though.

Re: Dundee United vs Dundee - Sunday 16th March (3PM)

I agree with every post above, you would be hear all night if you started to analyse where it went wrong.

I will say this though, what today showed us that these boys are exactly what most if us know, a bang average squad.

Our strength is organisation, hard working and tough to break down.

Finally, there's a few games where Jim has thrown points away Hearts & Hibs at home we should have settled for a point, those are in hindsight.

But there wasn't a soul in the stadium today that would have told you what was going to happen once you left Mani in a back three.

A day of madness.

Re: Dundee United vs Dundee - Sunday 16th March (3PM)

I'll tell you what the problem is. The sale of Holt. Not the greatest player but by God he was a leader of men, he took control of the defence, and he scored too.

Since we sold him for pennies we've fallen apart defensively and the team has no heart.

The club should have told Derry to ram it, they could have had him for free in the summer instead.

Re: Dundee United vs Dundee - Sunday 16th March (3PM)

That first half was the worst we’ve played since we took 9 off of Celtic, no doubt about it. We could’ve had no complaints if we’d went in 5 or 6 down at the break. For a team that, give them their due, have at the very least this season been organised and hard to beat, we looked like a team of players who had never played together in their lives.

I won’t hold it against them because they have been very good for us over their time here, but fuck me, Ferry, Walton and Gallagher picked some game to put in their worst every performances.

But I won’t give the same benefit of the doubt to Allan Campbell or any of the subs that came on in the second half, Jesus fuck.

I genuinely can’t believe that Campbell is the same player Motherwell fans rave about or that won Luton’s player of the season when they got promoted to the Premiership. He is every bit the useless barrel of shite we were warned about by Charlton and Millwall fans. I couldn’t name one positive attribute he’s shown since he come here, absolutely hopeless at everything. Can’t play a simple pass, weak as piss, stands 5 yards off his man at all times and can’t put in a tackle. Absolutely fucking hopeless. Its no coincidence that our form has went off a cliff since Goodwin’s decided to shoehorn him into the team every game, no matter how shite he was in the last one.

Fotheringham is a championship player, end of story. Not quick enough to burst past players on the wing, or quick footed enough to use trickery to beat them. Just brain dead balls that don’t beat the first man. He doesn’t deserve any more chances, he’s shown he’s simply not good to play at this level.

Goodwin’s gotten into this stupid habit of bringing on 4 strikers and hoping something comes off, but it’s no worked yet. Paton and VDS are absolute pish. Louis’ been a good player for us but time and injuries are catching up to him, and him and Dalby don’t work together at all. It should’ve been Docherty and if not him, then Babunski coming on for Campbell to give us that control instead of Moult. I guarantee that would’ve given us a better chance of taking something out of that second half.

I’d also put the responsibility for Manny’s red card squarely at Goodwin’s door for putting him in that position by leaving him on his own at centre half. All it was ever gonna take was for them to create an overload and you’re forcing Manny to make a desperate challenge. Very fucking naive from the manager that one.

January’s fucked us. We’ve not brought in the right players at all, we needed pace, which is easier to say than to find. We’ve brought in two players who are absolute pish and one who never plays, but I suspect is also pish. This has forced Goodwin to try and shoehorn them into a team that was working fine as it was and has given him an option to fuck about with a settled team which has totally derailed them. In hindsight we’d have been far better no signing anybody and just going with what was working for us up till then. Simple case of give him too much rope and he’ll hang himself

They did,but he threatened to go on strike remember. Never mind him, these players have played enough games at this level not to be turning in performances like that. Fucking diabolical!

Re: Dundee United vs Dundee - Sunday 16th March (3PM)

Whar do ye start we this mess. As somedy says, over 20 years since they chunts won a League gehm at Tannadice.

1st Half performance was the worst this Season. Defending was loupin. Stephenson gets bushwhacked right in front oe me. Free-kick any day. Efter he's subbed we're no switched on and they b@stards go and score.

Still canna workoot how Walton spilled the ba fir the 2nd. No like him. Can only put it doon to the pace and mibbee a curl on the ba. Ferry didna look fit. Kept lossin the ba. Did it once too often and ended up gee-in them the 3rd goal. If it wisna for VAR, we'd be 5-1 doon.

Middletons goal was a topper.

2nd half was better, but no better enough.

Trapper scored a good ane. if only he'd had the bottle to treh the same in the 1st half when he had the ba in Dundee's box 3 or 4 times and hesitated. Ending up lossin the ba every time.

Questions need to be asked now eg. How the phuck we wir sittin in 3rd place in December and Hibs were sittin bottom, and now ....

To think Campbell messed us about into only signing him until the end of the season so he could put himself in the shop window.

Probably a result for us as it's turned out. He is so unbelievably shite I'm at the point where I'm questioning if we've signed the wrong Allan Campbell, Walter Rojas style. Everyone around me was questioning what role he is actually supposed to play. He can't press, he hides and avoids looking for the ball, his passing is poor, he's not a defensive player, can't tackle and bottles out of things (which led to to Luca getti g injured). It's scary, he might even be worse than Jordan Tillson.

Tillson was limited but served a purpose. No really fair to tar him with the same brush when he was signed as a backup and was fine as just that. For as much shit as people gave him, he did help us win a few sticky games. Morton away about this time last year comes to mind.

Campbell belongs more in the category of Christoph Rabitsch, a far greater crime if you ask me.

I’ve always had Goodwin down as one of the less stubborn managers we’ve had. In the past, he’s usually been quite good at recognising when a player is shite and just doesn’t play them anymore, even if they’re his signings (Denham, Grimshaw), so I’m a bit concerned by his sudden 180 in this regard.

Allan Campbell and Ruari Paton is a weird hill to die on.
