I think he will revert back to 3-5-2.
I don't know when is the best time to do this but either Graham or Holt are going to replace Gallagher at some point, not sure if this is ghe game.
This is a game where we should pick up three points , so hopefully no MacNamara style changes.
I would also expect Middleton to drop out of the squad with a calf strain.
I've also got a wee sneaky feeling that VDS is going to score.
Merry Christmas everyone.

There is no game in this league where we should pick up 3 points.
It's a game we could win but there is not much between the 10 'diddy' teams in this league to the point that anything could happen.
Makes you think it would be some league without the cheeks.

Merry Christmas everyone. It would be a very tight league SL
I think we will be favourites and I do expect us to pick up three points, won't be easy but both them and County are the worst teams we have faced.

.
He'd need to get near the opposition box to do that.
I think Middleton will drop out as not to aggrevate his injury.
Trapanovski coming in and maybe Babunski for Fotheringham (who was ineffectual against Celtic).

I agree with CCX, think we'll revert to 3 at the back.
Might be Holt that gets a wee rest with Adegboyega and Graham coming back in.
What I'm liking is that because we now have so many options it's getting hard to predict our starting 11. Who would have predicted that Thomson and Fotheringham were going to start v Celtic.
I think Middleton will be rested regardless and I'm thinking any back 3 is possible but here's my lineup 3412
Walton
Adegboyega Gallagher Graham
Strain Luca Sevelj Ferry
Babunski central
Dalby Trapanovski
And if Trapanovski isn't at it why not give Meshak a run.
Unless Alex Grieve is unavailable

A crucial match in our season. If we win its 14pts of the bottom ( + game in hand) and possibly back up to 4th. Lose and we are looking down the way.
A big test awaits at Mcdiarmid.

This one's crucial? What about the Sheep, 5.15pm Sunday & the Fun, 5.30pm Thursday?
I'm shitting myself.

Seen on FB we have 2900 heading to Perth. Some effort.

Well played united. Wasn't working but changed it up and got the win.
Not to get ahead of ourselves but only 6 points behind a dons side who are really struggling and play them this week.
Unthinkable at the start of the season that we'd even be close to 3rd.
Not a bad time to be a united fan. Incredible job considering the budgets

Was surprised to see Middleton in the starting lineup given the number of games we have in such a short time. But fair play, done really well and scored a peach with his right peg.
That 343 looked honking in the first half, sloppy at times but again we upped the tempo and forced the goals that we needed.
The cross for Dalbys winning goal came not from Kai or Middleton or Trapanovski but from Vicko Svelje.
The grit and steel this team has is impressive to say the least.
A big 3 points. Onto Sunday. We'll need to play better and I think we will.

Wisna there the day coz oh femily stuff but over the moon. Was following the proceedings on Text and radio. Well done to the 3k Arabs that went the day.
Half-time getting worried that we wirna gonna score against the bottom side but looks like the 2nd half was a big improvement on the 1st.
What did Gallagher get sent aff fir, was it studs?
Roll on Sunday and the SSBs, or the IMPs as meh granddaughter calls them (Illegitimate Mutton Pokers).

3 points against a very poor oppenent it must be said in our first boxing day victory since 1996.😮
It's just brilliant to watch us right now move in the right direction after so much disappointing times over the past decade. The new generation of Shedboys and girls are there every week, and in an increasing number by the week.
Loved the new Sam Dalby song.
We were well worthy of the victory today and the steak and chorizo pies are a winner.
No complaints on the sending off, he has been immense for us this season and will be a big void to fill, step up Mr Graham.
Onto Sunday in front of a full Tannadice, 3 more please.
JGTA.
Final point, compare and contrast Moult to Middleton who actually won something with his former club. Big fuck off knee slide after netting his first of the season.
And a final final point- Will Ferry, when a pile on was happening after the first goal. He had the game awareness to stay in the St Johnstone half to prevent a quick restart.👏

Never seen even one minute of today but just watched the Sportscene highlights.
Two great goals to come back and win after what looked like a lacklustrue 1st half.
Silly red card from Gallagher as there was no danger.
But i have full trust in Ross Graham to come in and do well (and he's more of a goal threat at the other end), though we now need to hope we get no more injuries at the back as he (Gallagher) will now miss the New Firm Derby and the Dundee Derby.
How did Richard Odada do today on his first start for Utd? Interested to hear anyone's opinion. Was very surprised he started.

Odada wasn't great imo, caught wrong side of his man too often, gave the ball away under no pressure a few times and it a few corners had a couple of chances but never really looked like he wanted it from where I was. It might read harsh but that just how I saw it.
Gallagher will be a huge loss for us, he is our captain. Sometimes he doesn't wear an armband and sometimes he does but he is our leader at the back and keep guys like Odada in shape. Big shoes gor Graham to fill and what a game to come back in for.

Good interview, worth a listen, a bit of humour, doesn't talk shite.
I did not like him as a player and that's putting it mildly but he's on our side now.

As CCX says, Odada not great at all and it's an absolute mystery why Goodwin chose to single him out. We lined up 343 with Odada and Svelj as the 2 in the middle between the wing backs.
Hard working yes, flair, no.
Odada didn't sit and play, he was out of position so often that it pulled us out of shape. So often he's going for balls you're not going to get, or losing balls you should be keeping.
I can only assume that Goodwin knows he's going to need to use the squad over this fixture congestion so decides to heap praise on him.
As an aside, despite Aberdeen being in poor form the 343 that started yesterday wouldn't cut it on Sunday. We need 3 in the middle between the wing backs, so Doc Svelje Stephenson need to start that.

As said above, we’re really gonna need to be at the races on Sunday if we want to win. Thought we defended well. Would definitely have Stephenson or Doch in for Odada on Sunday.

Don't mind Goodwin praising odada. I think he's showing us that he is a work in progress, that they've identified areas he needs to work on and that he's making progress. The Scottish league is fast n furious - and maybe doesn't suit him from spending a few years in the US (I've only ever been to 1 'soccer' game but it was not at all fast paced).
In general terms, we are in a league where 10 or 11 teams can beat each other. It's hugely competitive....and we are at the right end of that league so far.
As an aside, fans are really flocking back to Scottish football. Attendances are up all over the league..it's good to see. More people and the ability to negotiate a better tv deal = more cash and better facilities and a better quality of player who can be signed......which should improve what we see on the pitch
