Re: Trump vs Harris

Again it will be decided in the 5 or 6? swing states, probably by a baw hair.

Still blows my mind anybody, regardless of your political leanings, could watch Trump speak and think "he seems a stable. articulate, well rounded individual, I think I'd like him to be our leader".

That Project 25 stuff is frightening.

C'mon Harris.

We forget that nobody could understand why anyone voted for George W Bush. We all knew very little about middle America.

It’s not like you can fact check Trump. He tells stories and people believe what they want to believe.

Remember Farage managed to convince the majority of UK electorate that leaving the EU would be a good thing.

True.  Dubya seems relatively sane compared to Frump,

Some of the comments from speakers at his rally at MSG the other night- thon boy Cardone saying "her pimp handlers will destroy our country;" about Harris and the other guy David Rem calling her "the devil" and "the anti-Christ."

Pretty depressing stuff.  That's of course after they played the song Dixie at the start of the event.   They are not even trying to hide it anymore.

Re: Trump vs Harris

They’re both absolutely batshit crazy. Trump shouldn’t win but then you see some of Harris’ speeches and it’s like she’s just downed a bottle of 20/20. Trying far too hard to be “one of the people” and “down with the kids”.
Has she answered a question straight yet? So Kamala, how’s the weather today?—Well, I was brought up middle class and Trump is a bad man.
I think Trump will win purely because the opponent comes across so badly.

You were right and it wasn’t even close.

It seems to me plenty of people despised Trump, but despised “the establishment” more. Obviously in his latter years Biden was a complete embarrassment, but his party should have told him, at least two years ago, that he wasn’t going to be their nominee. To bring in Kamala Harris at the last moment, was an act of desperation.

Biden’s unfettered backing of Israel alienated Muslim voters to the extent they would rather vote for Trump! That is hard to comprehend.

This is the second time in 10 years the Democrats put up a  very poor candidate. While I would never compare Harris to Hillary Clinton (Trading Cattle Futures, blatant nepotism and corruption), she still came across as vacuous.

My own opinion is that too many old guard Democrats are hanging on to power at any cost.

Her team come cross as a lot of middle aged people trying to portray her as “cool” and focused far too much on how bad Trump is. Did you see the ads they ran with the guy having a w@nk and the old Republican walks in to stop him, claiming “now I’m in charge you can’t do that.” Who TF are they aiming that at?? Trump will take away your porn, vote Kamala to keep it. Mental!! If they had a run of the mill candidate, focused on what they were gonna do rather than everything being about Trump being bad they probably would’ve won easily.

The rallies are a good example. The democrats wheel out Megan the Stallion wiggling her arse about like a stripper, J-Lo with her fake tears, Cardi B rambling from notes on an iPhone, Beyonce saying about three sentences of nothing. Trump wheels out the richest man in the world. Guess who your rednecks, blue collar workers are gonna choose to vote for after that?

Re: Trump vs Harris

The absolute imbecile Biden is on the verge of driving us all into a nuclear War.

Causing carnage even in the last death throes of his tenure.

Hopefully Trump can smooth things over and act like an American President should. We all better hope he can.

You always assume that the US President has an army of foreign policy advisers and military personnel who effectively “guide” the President in decision making. People poked fun at Reagan, but, he rarely fluffed his lines and crucially had statesmen around him: Cyrus Vance, James Baker, Warren Christopher and Henry Kissenger  (and these are the ones I remember of the top of my head)

There are no statesmen now. Not one. There is absolutely no way that Netanyahu would have repeatedly defied International law 40 years ago. The idea that you can subjugate a terrorist army and they give up all their weapons and surrender is laughable. Imagine if the British army had decided to “neutralise” Sinn Fein and everyone who voted for it?

I don’t know where we go from here with Putin, Ukraine or Israel, but, I don’t see any leadership or wisdom anywhere.

I'm not saying Trump is 'statesman like', but his presidency oversaw a time of peace and no overseas War's or conflicts for the US. Which is extremely rare.

He made peace with North Korea, tried to broker a peace deal with Israel and Palestine, and had a very cordial relationship with Putin.

No-one will give him credit for that, but he will certainly deserve it if he smooths things over and averts WW3 and subsequently brings about peace talks between Russia~Ukraine.
