If we have to put Thomson RWB i'd start Forbes RW.
Assuming Ubochioma isn't ready.

Are the medical team and the people who run the live streams the same people?

I say put Middleton RWB and leave Thomson where he is,bring Forbes on later when Thomson tires.

I suggested putting Middleton at RWB for last week's game and you gave me pelters!

We are a bit short of choices given that Strain and Sevelj are injured and Grimshaw looks to be on his way to Partick Thistle. I'd prefer to keep Thomson in the more forward role that he excelled in on Sunday so that doesn't leave a great deal of options does it? Not quite the same thing as picking him ahead of others on form.

I suppose my point is that you must agree he is capable of doing a job at RWB. He wouldn't usually be my first choice there either but I thought vs Dundee that Goodwin might not start Miller Thompson, and might prefer to go with a more experienced player there, even if that meant playing Middleton "out of position". Also thought Sevelj might be played ahead of Holt, to allow Ross Graham to play on the left with Sevelj on the right. But credit to Goodwin - he showed more balls than I thought he might with the selection, and he was right to do so.
With Sevelj now doubtful for Saturday, you might think that Middleton at RWB might be more likely. But I don't think there's any more chance of that this week and maybe more likely we'll see Miller Thompson drop back and play behind Forbes. Not sure I'd start Miller at RWB with the new winger ahead of him and the new CH inside him - Ross County would target that area all day, waiting to capitalise on the inevitable lapse in communication.

Kai hasn't started the season too well, but I'd like to see him get a chance to start up there. He'll work hard to help out Miller and always has a goal in him. Forbes a great option off the bench along with Moult. Probably a toss up with him and VDS at the moment for me until we see more of the new boy. Liked what I saw on Sunday though.

Forgot about Kai in my previous post. Think this would probably be my team too.
Edit to say: It's great to look at a United starting XI and see several players who are capable of something special that can win us a game.

Can't see what Kai has done to warrant a start tbh.

Happy at that. If he plays like he did in the derby, we have a good player.

Yep,also means Miller Thomson can stay up the top end of the park.

Graham dropped, paying for his rashness I would imagine.

Possibly, but a little unfair as he plays better on his natural side. Holt is a mixed bag for me really but ultimately I just want whoever plays to cement their place by keeping clean sheets.
