Interesting presser with Goodwin ahead of Saturday's match.
Same team I would guess going by his comments.
Also good to hear that we are looking to strengthen and bring in one more at least.
Very refreshing to hear its players he knows of and not bringing duds from the other side of the world.

Fotheringham being assessed tomorrow, hopefully don’t take any risks with him seeing as we have a fortnight off after the Pars game.
Mochrie still out, Chalmers back in the squad.

I agree snacks, I was up the county away game where Middleton played a heavily strapped hamstring and was as good as out for the next 3 months.
Goodwin though is definitely not Foxy.

Ticket sales look quite good, less than 50 seats left in ET stand and middle 3 sections of George Fox pretty much down to single seats only. Maybe be about 6-6,500 home fans, Dunfermline maybe bring about 500?

Ross Docherty supposedly picked up an injury.
Bit of a blow.
Probably means Grimshaw moved into Centre Mid beside Sibbald and Freeman RB.

If Docherty is out, keeping the back four the same might be a good option, that's four clean sheets in a row, if you count the Carlisle friendly.
Play Archie Meekison in midfield next to Sibbald.

This isn't good news at all. Exactly why we need at least another 3 bodies in. The bench is weak as piss and now we are gonna end up back with Freeman letting everything past him at RB. Nowhere near as optimistic as I was until I read your post 😕

I take your point about keeping a settled back four and it's not a bad shout.
Just not convinced by Meekison though, i have to say. Hoping he proves me wrong.

h wont, it will be grimshaw, sheep at RB

If true I would put Grimshaw into midfield and play Denham at RB. He got a bit of a lesson from Brian Graham however he still looked twice the player Freeman is.
Freeman on the teamsheet would give Dunfermline a lift and an area for them to target.

Moving Grimshaw out of midfield killed us, docherty was a huge miss today

Bang on. The game swung away from us when Grimshaw went to RB. But that just demonstrates how poor Meekinson is.
We have Docherty, Sibbald and Grimshaw for the holding 2 midfield role after that the drop of is alarming, Meekinson & Glass are not good enough.

Agreed as pointed out bu the two of you.
Young Matt was a good watch today always had you on the edge of your seat. Sibbald also was a stand out in the middle for me and the two CHs.
Now the moany bit.
Watt, he ain't a number 10 in a month o sunday. Not sure if it was just them fifers tiring or Glass was an improvement but we certainly got better when he went off.
Place was also like a morgue for our first home game of the season.
1 point is no disaster.

1st half oor, we were on it, then the gehm seemed to go inta a lull, roond aboot the time Freeman went aff, efter he got the ba in the conkers.
2nd half much the same, except for a 10 min period when we were playin them aff the park just aboot. I mean, there was some brah bits oe skill shown fae individual players throughout the gehm.
Looked to me like that Watt, on his own had mair oe the ba, than Middleton and Moult put the gither.
It was frustrating for abody, that it was oor finishing was jist no on the gehm, so to speak.
Ehm sure that when they scored, it was the 1st cross they'd put inta the box fae open play. (as opposed to coarners or free-kicks). Apert fae the goal, dinna think Walton had much to dae.
But what is ah this passin and kickaboot between the keeper and the CBs. Dinna like it, and its gettin on meh tits.
Main criticism oe the Ref was he took too lang and did too little aboot they time-wasting b@stards. Didna think much oe Dunf, pretty duff TBH.
And as CCX sayed, was a like a silent disco the day.
MOTM for me wee Cudjoe, and no just coz he scored, we Sibbs no far aff it.

Got out of jail.
2 jems uncovered: Walton and Cudjoe.
Wee Cudjoe a joy to behold running at defences despite running into blind alleys at times, tbf he'll then scrap to get ball back.
Missed Docherty.
Big worry for me is inability to get through packed defences.
Get the new signings in quick Jim.
Oh aye DUTV feed cactus, had tae put up wi village idiot fae West Fife.

Not good enough.
But for Cudjoe's (brilliant) last kick of the game we would already have lost 50% of our games this season and both games at Tannadice.
We are definitely looking stronger defensively and between the sticks (wouldn't be hard), but from middle to front it's just not convincing enough. We are far too light also. Look at the bench today. Absolutely no-one on it to bring on and change the game.
We need more than just one signing. Three at least.

It's definitely a wafer thin squad. I thought to myself at HT what can JG do to improve this ?
There was nothing on the bench to inspire me at all.
The majority Of IGs signings have improved the team this year hopefully Mr Ogren is serious about winning the league this year.

I thought it was pretty telling that 0-1 down with 15 minutes to go and we didn’t make any substitutions , didn’t even have them warming up so Jim had no intention of making any. I think Dunfermline will be one of the more attacking teams to come to Tannadice so we really need to find a way to create more.

Mcpake made the subs at 0-0 , brave and it changed the game resulting in them scoring. Goodman for all his talk of using 5 subs a game is a shitebag, it was clear we wernt playing well, Watt and Middleton were garbage yesterday.and it needed changed

We couldn’t make any more subs. Although you can bring 5 subs on it is only allowed over 3 different times and all our 3 subs were made in isolation.

There lies the problem, I would add Moult to Watt & Middleton of players that were not contributing and should be taken off. But looking at the bench I would agree with JG that there is nothing worth bringing on.
