Re: Rebuilding United in the Championship

We'd be better off cancelling this bounce game, we'll have no cunt left.

I was thinking the same thing, horrific luck. We might be playing Birrigitti at right back if this continues......

Probably end up finally getting his hand to the ball and gifting a fucking penalty!

Re: Rebuilding United in the Championship

So rumours of both Sibbald and Freeman facing lengthy spells out leaves us a bit thin on the ground... a box to box midfielder is absolutely essential now, as is a right back. I was happy enough with Grimshaw covering right back whilst we had Freeman to cover if anything were to happen to Grimshaw but going into the season with no fit right back is bonkers! Time for Mr Ogren to open that cheque book

Re: Rebuilding United in the Championship

Word is 3-0 down at HT v Burnley 0-0 after 20 mins. Still don’t get why we’re playing them overall.
STJ supposedly cancelled their game against them due to having 10/11 players fit.

First half looked like the first team going by twitter, dunno if big changes were made or what at half time though.

Re: Rebuilding United in the Championship

Can we not get some decent players from them on loan. At least get something worthwhile out of the exercise.

Re: Rebuilding United in the Championship

James McCarthy about to be released by Celtic, would be a good signing for us

Re: Rebuilding United in the Championship

Some better news.

The Courier have a report saying that Sibbalds injury isn't as bad as first feared and he might now only miss the Ayr and Airdrie matches.

Re: Rebuilding United in the Championship

Craig Sibbald's injury not as bad as feared. No broken ankle or ligament damage.

Thank fuck.

Re: Rebuilding United in the Championship

Heard we’ve offered former Hearts right back Michael Smith some training facilities.

Would be a very good signing for this league.

Yeah 1 year deal would suit both parties just fine.

Well he can't, simply can't be any worse than Freeman

Even those 2 games he will be a huge miss, QP could be out of sight by then.

Good news of course still.

5 point gaps are still 5 point gaps

I don't need to calm down btw 👍

Re: Rebuilding United in the Championship

Anyone/everyone can be as positive/negative as they like, but if after 4 games, if we're worried Queens Park, yes, Queens Park could be out of sight, then it's probably best we just pack up and take up doing something else on a Saturday.

Or alternatively, we can have our own opinions on things.

Mcgrath signed for sheep.

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Re: Rebuilding United in the Championship

Looking likely that we go into this weekends match with what we have.

I would love to have seen us strengthen in midfield and the right back position but we will no doubt be playing the waiting game.

In reality though any decent players will have other options and with us being in the championship,we will need to bide our time.

You would thought there would have been the odd rumour though.

Re: Rebuilding United in the Championship

Anyone have updates on Michael Smith training with us? Can’t be equal or worse to the current option that’s not named Grimshaw.
