Utd v St.Johnstone - Saturday 1st October (3pm)

A successful International week over and done with and back to league business.

Will now be into October by the time Saturday comes and high time Utd gained their 1st league win of the season and start to move up the table, in Liam Fox's first Tannadice match in charge of the club, after 3 away matches in interim charge.

What would be your starting XI?

That'd be my starting XI too.

Smith is not a great player (far from it) but he is considerably better than Freeman. Defensively I'm afraid Freeman is just not good enough.
Apart from that I would go with the above 11.

I am not a fan of Eriksson, however, to be fair to the guy, it would be harsh to drop him now. A win at Livingston, a clean sheet at Motherwell where he saved a penalty, and then a 2-1 defeat at Ibrox. It shows signs of improvement.

Also, if the Aussie goalie did actually post something on social media after the 9-0 game, then he may be a disruptive influence in the dressing room.

Yep, would be harsh and totally counter productive to drop Eriksson. Also the Aussie (as I'm sure I've already mentioned) can get as far away to fuck as possible.

I noticed Peter Pawlett was back in full training.

Wondering if he might make the bench tomorrow.

Clark may well score but if he is playing his lack of pace  will allow our defence to push up a bit higher and close the gap to our midfield which has been a major issue this year.

Relegation is looking a very real possibility.

Re: Utd v St.Johnstone - Saturday 1st October (3pm)

Was the Stevie boy goal affside. Phuck knows.

There was a 15 minute period in the 1st half, when Fletcher never touched the ba.

Our midfield is non-existent and canna play thru anychunt.

How the phuck do we keep gee-in the ba awa. How easy was it for them to push us off the ball. Harkes was the main culprit.

The Johnies were far better in the air and we couldna cope we it.

How was it that we could get the play the ba right up to half-way inta the Johnnie's half then stop, turn roond, and pass it back.

In the 2nd half, Edwards took the ba fae the keeper in the 6 yard box. He played it oot for 30 yards up the park beh himself. Then he stopped, turned roond, then passed it back to Ross Graham. I mean FFS.

Johnies had ZERO coarners. We had 9 coarners and got phuck-all.

Bizarrely tho, the stats show that we were the better side, even tho we were'na.

There's a good few boys roond me, that sayed they're no coming to the Aeberdeen gehm.

MOTM Sadat.

Re: Utd v St.Johnstone - Saturday 1st October (3pm)

Absolutely woeful performance from utd yet again. Midfield is non-existent, why the fuck do they not track back?? Sadat did more tracking back than the rest of the bastard midfield put together!

Get harkes to fuck....he should never have been offered a one year contract when it was clear he was looking to move on.

Eriksson gives me the fear as our no.1, he cannae catch ffs...that shot in injury time, surely he should have caught that plus he came charging out at a free kick in the first half he never caught.

Asghar needs to drop this policy of signing internationalists cos they are honking....just so we can get a bit of extra money during the world Cup, providing they actually make the squads haha.

Or preferably asghar can fuck off. What a shambles the club is from top to bottom.

Will be delighted if utd actually finish 10th this season.

Re: Utd v St.Johnstone - Saturday 1st October (3pm)

The midfield was yet again poor, although I didn't think SJ were any better but they were certainly more robust.
IMO the defence lost the game Graham Edwards & Freeman were dreadful, playing a modern style of non contact defending.

Re: Utd v St.Johnstone - Saturday 1st October (3pm)

I like others have moaned aboot Tony Watt, but there was an improvement when he came on. Actually there was improvement when all the subs come on. In that vain, the subs were made 20 mins too late.

Another faux-pas.

And Edwards was like a lost soul. Nae encouragement or forceful persuasion for the squad to bash on.  Couldna captain a ghost ship.

And he had the cheek to start mouthing off at fans in the Eddie Thompson when he was going down the tunnel at the end. Should try having a go at his teammates.
