Penalty saved by Eriksson.

He needed that.

A point and a clean sheet.

But by God we are boring to watch. Could play all night and not score.

It's gonna be a long hard season, absolutely no chance of us being top six.

Outplayed again and nothing going forward but what’s new, would have taken a point if offered before the game but would prefer that we earned it rather than lucky to escape with one.

If today is what Utd players fought Jack Ross to get back to we're absolutely fucked.

Re: Motherwell vs Utd - Saturday 3/9/22

Stole a point today and really difficult to take anything positive from today's match.

Although the Keeper saved a penalty he gives me no confidence whatsoever and will definitely cost us a few games this season.

I thought the Captain was shaky today and his distribution of the ball was diabolical at times.

Middle of the park were completely outplayed by a bang average Motherwell team.

Tony Watt, well what more is there to say? I couldn't believe it when he reappeared for the second half. He looked disinterested, lazy, lathering and miles off it with any sort of link up play. He just wants to win fouls and dive about and is starting to really frustrate me.

Thought Behich had not a bad game but our shape leaves so much room in the wide areas and exposes both Smith and Behich so easily.

A thousand United fans there today and quite frankly we deserve much better from what we have seen so far this season.

A final word for the worst performance on the pitch and that was for the referee.  Where the fuck do they find these guys, horrific for both teams and one of thee worst refereeing displays I've ever seen.

A point's better than phuck-all, but that's ah it is. Still bottom oe the League.

Wish Harkes had passed the ba inta the box instead oe hitting it over.

Glad for Eriksson tho.

Re: Motherwell vs Utd - Saturday 3/9/22

Very very hard to see where goals are coming from.

Edwards good.
Fletcher tireless & no-one to link with.
Levitt a class act wasted..
Behich on the improve, Liam steady.
Goalie honest player but going to prove a liability.
Too many journeymen.

At least we got a point.

Oh yeah the ref .... total twat, one of they guys that hasnae played in hes life, not a clue.

The quality of our passing was horrific yet again. We really have no discernable style and ability to build attacks. It's mind mumbing to watch.

The good thing is a new manager can make a difference. You only need to look at Motherwell who were equally horrendous under Alexander at the start of the season. Hammell has got them knocking the ball about with a purpose and creating chances. Lets face it, poor finishing let them down on Saturday. On another day they could have won 3 nil.

Re: Motherwell vs Utd - Saturday 3/9/22

A big part of our issue is that Liam Smith either gives the ball away every time or, turns back and plays the safe pass back to Edwards because he think's he'll give the ball away if he tries to play anything progressive which kills any momentum we have. Edwards isn't much better and just keeps giving the ball to Smith rather than playing the ball into midfield, which again kills our momentum.

Ian Harkes also continually gives the ball away as well.

Watt gets the ball then tries to be clever or dives when anyone comes near him but hardly ever wins fouls also killing our momentum.

Behich, despite being a left wing back, also appears reluctant to use his left foot (noticed this on Saturday) and appears reluctant or unable to drive forward.

I have sympathy for both wing backs, both of them cover so much ground and are very isolated whenever they receive the ball.

Once again we need to play 3 CMs because they ain't good/strong enough to in a 2.

Both Edwards and Mulgrew get caught out by the ball through the channel due to their lack of pace and teams have clocked on to it.

It's time for tough decisions and it won't be great on the eye but we need to piss with the cock we have.

It's 4-5-1 for me and hope that we can create from the wide areas.

One thing we better not see on Saturday is Watt starting. We need legs in our team (something that Jack Ross identified).
