In fairness that was the word on the street last Monday.

Re: Jack Ross gone

Has Adam Asghar also gone then as part of the first team coaching team?

Re: Jack Ross gone

He needs to be gone by the morning after that today. An absolute fucking disgrace of a performance. 40 odd years of following this great club and my heart is fucking broken tonight. Jack Ross is a disaster and we need to limit the damage or we will be relegated before Christmas. The goalie coach also has to be sent packing and both keepers are shite and should be playing 5 a side instead. Massive massive problems the likes of which we have never witnessed before. An absolute embarrassment for Dundee United fans everywhere. Tony, I've never been one for having a pop at you personally, but if you're reading this then 4 words,  SORT IT FUCKING OUT!

No-one told me. The rumour was said by more than one person on Twitter and elsewhere.

No doubt you'll agree with big Tony that these types of rumours are 'vitriolic'.

They are vitriolic when they are just made up lies, yes. I'm not saying you are lying, but whoever posted that rubbish on twitter is. And they know why they are doing it, too.

Re: Jack Ross gone

The fish rots from the head.

The whole recruitment of both the manager and the players took forever.

The players selected after a diligent and thorough process (player profiling) have just not done the job expected.

I'm not sure if Ross is the problem, I think it's further up the tree. The buck stops with the man at the top.

Saying that, Ross picks from the players available for selection, Sets the team up and make the subs . For that he should be walking tonight, if he has one ounce of pride and respect he should walk.

On countless other threads though I as many others have highlighted the complete waste of money from the club, on transfer fees, absolutely ridiculous contract extension,  coaching appointments,  nepotism and many others that sits with Ashgar.

The Ogrens need to show leadership and fast, this could seriously freefall and quickly and we will find ourselves cut adrift as we did in 2015/16.

Starting tomorrow,  go and recruit a Goalkeeper, a center half and a ball winning midfielder. Without these three we are heading for the Championship and no Elite performance center will save us.

Get your fuckin finger out now Mark Ogren.

Compared with last season, we're playing without Benji and Butcher. A keeper the defence had complete confidence in, and a midfield enforcer who protected the defence.

Sack Jack Ross and we're still facing exactly the same problems.

I'm not sure what else Jack Ross could have done today. His starting XI was a decent attempt to address most of the glaring issues. I was happy with it. And it worked reasonably well for most of the first half. But the heads went down when they scored their 3rd (which was offside, as was the 4th). The players knew it was offside and argued the point. Those are the calls the Old Firm don't need, and always get. Heads going down is understandable. Celtic were unstoppable today and I said on twitter I don't think our 1983 team could have got a result in that game.

Sacking Ross would be done for no reason other than to "get a reaction" from the players. I don't think that's a good enough reason, at this point. If I was Mark Ogren, I'd be looking higher up the chain of command for a scapegoat. And if at all possible, I'd tell Ross to identify the ball-winning midfielder he wants, and make the funds available to go after them. If that means offloading one or two big names who don't want to be here, go for it.

Something needs done urgently, but I honestly don't think sacking the manager will improve us.

What is your explanation of why we have gone from a bit push but grinding out points to the most humiliating set of results I can remember this club having in such a short space of time then?

The squad isn't so different from last year...
Was Benji really worth 6 goals a game for us?

I'm not hating on Ross, I'd rather he turned things around than left and we had to scramble around for a new manager, but I am losing faith in him being capable of doing it every match we play

Re: Jack Ross gone

How do you explain the AZ result at home that had fans and the media drooling?

It's a confidence problem, nothing more, confidence is a huge thing in football.

It’s looking more and more like that was a result despite Ross rather than because of Ross.

Re: Jack Ross gone

Finding his team in similar circumstances, his co-accused is gone.

Re: Jack Ross gone

Time for Tony Asghar to do the honourable thing and hand in his resignation.

His 'model' for the club is absolutely broken.

Tony doesn't know what 'honourable' means.

Re: Jack Ross gone

Anyway, who could we possibly get in at such short notice to take the team.  If only the omnipotent Sporting Director had a son....
