Rumour going about that both will be offered deals.
Striker, Ada Anaku going to be part of 1st team squad and training.
Defender, Enock Walusimbi with a view to Utd B-Team (initially).

Work permits through in time for Christmas?

Scott Burns saying Utd close to signing Anaku.
Signing subject to work permit being accepted however.

You'd like to think that we have some budget for these guys given we have had them on trial for most of the summer! The striker would struggle to be less effective than our current incumbents.

Amazing news, and yet another Brexit bonus for the club. It is good to see us exploring markets that were previously closed to us.

At it.

As ever.

I'm not. We couldn't have signed him pre Brexit. That is just a fact. Same with Cudjoe.

The Brexit part is true

Sorry I put the space in my post in the wrong place, should have been after the 'A'

What about when we signed Alphonse Tchami and Mvondo Atangana from Cameroon. Or did they have French passports or something?

I'll never forget "Just Juan Ferreira, give him to me, he's got a passport from Italy".
Just a shame the player wasn't as memorable as the song

Go on, tell me what benefits that Brexit brought to us so far? Football wise, not interested in any politics.
What players have we brought in that we couldn't have and that have improved our squad?

Cudjoe, Anaku and Birighitti (yes I know, but I still think he'll come good) for starters. I'm sure more will follow.
We'd have got Behich pre-Brexit though, as an active international player for a top 40 nation.

Seen a post on Twitter saying the Ugandan Defender will also be signed (subject to work permit being accepted), and immediately sent to Peterhead on loan.
Offline
Ugandan press reporting both Anaku and Walusimbi signed two year deals at the weekend.
And that Anaku has already secured his work permit.
Walusimbi, upon completion of his work permit will indeed be sent on loan to Peterhead.
No fee paid for either, both Ugandan clubs instead have taken a higher sell-on fee, should either be sold on.

Anaku scored a hat trick against Queens Park today.

Great to see Anaku banged in a hat-trick. Seems to have scored regularly whilst on loan. A good sign.
Worrying that a back four of Freeman-Walusimbi-Graham-McMann conceded two to essentially Queens Parks youth team.
That is 3/4's a first team back line.

Young keeper flogged the second one.

I'm sure 'Hinchy' will coach these mistakes out of him.

Might only be Queens Park but a hat trick from any striker at United has to be welcome.
Assuming his work permit is in, you would have to assume he's going to go straight in to the squad this weekend.
Can see the headlines now: "Unheard of foreign trialist scores twice to win game on debut on Live TV"
Tends to only happen when United are the team they're playing against though...
