We all want the same thing - an entertaining, reasonably successful team... how we go about it, I'm sure we all differ with.

Anyways - this is a transfer thread... so here's 1 that I don't think would ever happen but I'd love.... and there's no grounds for ever thinking it would happen ... Ben Foster

Good keeper and great PR for the club with his successful podcasts. Loves a cycle too - if he can get to the top of the law on a bmx, sign him up

I think Ben is more of a media personality than a player these days. I enjoy his podcasts, but he spills the beans on everything that happens behind the scenes. Nothing is kept behind closed doors when Big Ben is concerned.

Agreed. Canna stand him to be honest. Him and James Maddison. Both seem more concerned with becoming pundits rather than actually playing, much like a lot of players these days. It’s why I like DAZN over here-zero pundits. Half time is just adverts for upcoming events and no waffle from thick ex-players.

It's not where you're from it's where you're at.

Re: Summer Transfer Window

Craig Sibbald is an underwhelming signing for me. Don't get me wrong, the lad works his bollocks off and is a good Pro.

But i was hoping we'd aim a bit higher personally. I'd class him as a Mark Kerr type of player. So, not bad exactly, just not particularly great either. Definitely a downgrade on Fuchs at DCM imo.

If he signs i hope i have underestimated him, but i have seen enough of him to feel a bit underwhelmed at his prospective signing.

Re: Summer Transfer Window

Sibbald is a left footed midfielder that can play wide, too.

Agreed Tek, underwhelming on the face of it. But we've lost Fuchs, McDonald, Butcher and Hoti in the last year so lots of positions to fill in the squad. Was an attacking player when younger but I think he's been quite versatile in recent years and can basically play as a defensive or attacking midfielder and also play off either flank. We might benefit from having someone so flexible in the squad.

Will judge him once I've seen him play for us a few times and see how JR plans to use him. Could be a Rankin-type signing that turns out to be a decent capture.

Edwards wanted by Charlton

Edwards linked with move to Charlton- be really bad to lose him

Re: Summer Transfer Window

Sibbald will be a squad player if signed, good luck to him.

Always had a wee bit about him when I seen him and hopefully he has a point to prove and comes good for us.

Edwards should not be allowed to leave unless he won't sign a new deal and wants to leave. As our captain and first choice CH he won't be easily replaced.

Re: Summer Transfer Window

Would be absolutely gutted to lose big Edwards but moving back down south to probably 6/7K a week is probably quite appealing to him.

Would be a massive lose.

He may wish to compete in Europe and have an outside chance of a cup win though as opposed to what in league one?

Re: Summer Transfer Window

Can't remember much about sibbald apart from the play off game - sure he scored a cracker against us? Arriving late into the box?

Googled him and daily record has him as a winger which I don't remember him as. Had a tough time with injury and covid twice...maybe just a lad who needs a fresh break.? I'm not inspired but perhaps Jr doesn't think any of the youths are ready to step up and fill that role?

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Callum Butcher, anyone heard anything about him?

Is he training with the first team or youths?

I would think that the club won't be difficult to deal with, I heard a wee rumour the other week that Motherwell were interested.

He was training alone, with one of the fitness coaches, last i heard.

The rest of the squad not interested in having him back into the group after what he done to Benji.

The rest of the squad? WTF has someone's affair (pun intended) got to do with them? They are there to do a job.  Let them get on with it!

Harmony in the dressing room is fucking vital in football, surely you realise that?

Re: Summer Transfer Window

Be gutted to lose Edwards.

Shouldn't even think of selling him unless they are offering 7 figures. We are already light at the back given Neilson is away and Butcher is as good as.

Re: Summer Transfer Window

Good squad signing probably on peanuts. Can play anywhere in midfield and also left-wing

Not every signing can be a Dylan or Fletcher.

Of course I do. What I am saying is what gives them the right to claim the moral high ground? Are they so honourable they wouldn't have dipped the wick given the opportunity?

If butcher has done what he has done, he’s a absolute rat and shouldn’t be anywhere near the squad and they are quite right to feel that way, there all meant to be pals as well as team mates

What is so strange about it? Lots of guys being offered it on a plate would have said "Wham, bam, thank you ma'am."  Do you dispute that?

Shagging a mates gf? I'd like to think I'm better than that and would hope most folk would be too. I don't doubt that some would, but I'd say your terminology is a bit dated though.
