Shite draw, we never beat those cunts. Bound to be on Premier sports too so no chance I'll be watching, probably a blessing tbh

Re: Cup

Bastard draw.

We haven't beaten Celtic in the Scottish Cup since 1981 (the only time we have done so).

Don't fancy our chances of changing that, but you never know.

A lot will depend on our best players being available on the day and not getting injured from now till then.

We'll see what happens.

Re: Cup

It's a bastard of a draw.

Trying to look at it positively, we've got a better chance of beating them at home than at Parkhead or Hampden, and if we are going to win the cup we probably need to beat them. On current form they are the best team in Scotland

I take it you were too young to attend our cup victory in 1949 🙂

Gotta have the Glasgow derby at Hampden, remember.

Re: Cup

I've seen a lot of talk on social media about United fans being given the Carling Stand. Let's knock this nonsense on the head right now. Historically we sell around 3/4000 home tickets for Scottish Cup quarter finals. In addition, it will be on television (admittedly Premier Sport), there will be low expectations from the United supporters given the opposition, and a number of fans prefer not to attend games against Rangers and Celtic. Also, although the date has still to be fixed, if both Glasgow teams progress in Europe they will be playing on the previous Thursday, so the games at Tannadice and Dens will likely to on the Sunday and Monday - not attractive kick off times for those with children and other responsibilities.

If we were in a position where we could sell 8/9000 tickets to our support then I would fully support the Carling Stand being allocated to Terrors, but it won't happen. As a club, we can't afford to leave a stand empty when demand will be huge, so Celtic will have it.

The only way to remedy this in future is, frankly, for more United fans to turn up to games.

Just thought I would wholeheartedly agree with you for a change

Can't blame the final on the quarters draw......Up to us to do something about it, tough ask but let's have a proper go at these arrogant tossers...

Ahh....you're quite correct.

Apologies to any of our more *ahem* vintage Arabs who recall that fine 4-3 win at Tannadice.

I should have said it's the only time we have beaten them in the Scottish at Hampden (and only one of the TWO times we have defeated them in the SC 😉).

Re: Cup

Got to beat them at some point if you want to win it although I really can't see it.

With this being Live on TV I hope the club can't show some common sense and reach an agreement with they cunts.

20 and 10 should see us sell out our home ends.

Re: Cup

it could be 15 and 8 and we wouldn't sell out our stands.

Yes that is unfortunately true.
A decent run in the league before then would help the sales a bit but there is just so little belief from fans and I believe the players that we can beat them.
