Agreed, need to shut that Foster c#nt up so a win is absolutely imperative. Same team for me, need to start gelling and throw the tombola out.

Simple - same team.
Edit: McCall to set up to frustrate, go for 0 v 0 & penalties

Highly confident about this one. I well remember our classic match here two years ago when Lawrence Shankland came out of a comparatively lean spell (by his high standards) and silenced the doubters with a hattrick. It wouldn't surprise me one iota if Mark McNulty did something similar and made a few people eat humble pie.
As an aside, last time we were there was just a few weeks before the country went into lockdown. None of us had any idea of the horrors just around the corner, and it's a good reminder to take nothing for granted and enjoy life as much as you can. We never know what the next day might bring.

I was at that game, was a great day out from start to finish and United, especially Shankland were fantastic. I remember Dillon Powers absoltely strolled it that day too, his debut iirc. Don't think we won many games after that too before Covid hit.
For tomorrow, it's got to be the same team that started on Wednesday.
Partick have been on a decent run of late and will be in our faces from the start I reckon - I think we'll have more than enough to see them off though and will stick my neck out and predict another 4-1 win!

Partick will be no push over. They are on a really good run of form. Their pitch will also be like a quagmire and not conjucive to quick, passing football.
Tomorrow will be a battle.

Absolutely, the pitch will make it a 2nd ball game. Not a day for square balls in defence.
Same as the last round 2-1 win AET

One thing very positive from the other night: lots of the long balls stuck.
Will stand us in good stead. Short triangles no the best on the Firhill quagmire.

Hopefully lessons were learned at Fir Park a few month back when we tried to play silky football in a monsoon.
A repeat of Wednesday will be enough to see us through but its United so it will be extra time and pens.

Has to be the same team if McDonald is fit. Never seen anyone mention the loss of Fuchs so midfield must be doing something right.

Magnificent travelling support today (minus the idiots who threw smoke bombs).
When the fans and the players are UNITED as one, it takes a hell of a team to beat us.
The game itself was probably forgettable, and the less said about the pitch the better. We take the win and we go to the next round.

The main problem today was Harkes and Levitt were completely out muscled in Central midfield. Neither of them are interested in tackling.
There was a noticeable difference when Butcher went in there. Mcmann also did well when he came on, as he likes a tackle.
Smith on the other side got a roasting, in his defence he did not have a right sided midfielder in front of him, although is there one at the club?
Thistle look like the best team in the Championship, so all in all a good win.

I paid Thistle for the PPV, but after 10 mins it just froze and it never recovered, so it was Sportsound for me.
Tell you this. The state oe that phuckin pitch. Like a phuckin mud bath.
But we'll done to the boys.

We can read next to nothing on game on that pitch.
Concrete: 1 v 0
Beautiful goal.
Benji his usual brilliant self.
Niskannen just keeps getting better.
Great support.
Good to get 8 day break.

100%
That Partick match was Utd's 8th game in just 24 days.
We have kept 4 clean sheets in the month of February already.
We are only 12 days into the month as of full time yesterday.

Games have come thick and fast so agree a break is ideal. It's a bit of a free hit against the Gers, but I do think we need to show a bit of a threat upfront. There has been some good stuff over the last few games but also some bad. Time for the coaching to distil that experience into what needs done going forward and to try to find some solutions on the park. Three more wins might see us on the right side of the table at the split and that would indeed be progress, even if the product has been more miss than hit.
There is a chance we could start the game on Sunday in 8th place. That's how crazy this league is.
