I want the new goalie to get a game, I want to see if he can get us up the park quicker. Mcdonald in, simply because its worth a try. And the 16 year old striker that was on the bench to be thrown in from the start, what's the worst that can happen, he doesn't score either? We haven't got a goal in us so why not? The last 16 year old we played did not bad against the champions and our other 'strikers' are fucking hopeless

Our goalie 'not getting the ball up the park quicker' is the least of our problems, just be happy you've got him there.
So he clutches the corner/free kick in inimitable style & advances to the 18-yard line.
The howls you heard at McDiarmid y'day when he didn't immediately thump the ball up into oblivion is a manifestastion of the fans' frustration.
You want the new goalie to get a game? Siegrist left out for the current inadequacies of our game? I think not.

Don't know if Tam keeps going down the same old route with regards to team selection in the hope we rack up enough points before the break or he is incapable or he believes this is the way to play football but something needs to change. I'm with ADS on this as it's got to be worth a try.

Oh OK sorry, I'll share your opinion instead then. How dare I have one of my own? 😂

Of course you're entitled to your opinion Ads just as long as it aligns with mine.
So it's just your opinion against mine, is that not what lively debate is all about?

The Motherwell game needs to see a vast improvement on the very dire and dreadful standard of performances seen so far but I have zero confidence Courts has the ability to change that around.
I have to say I see a very dour 0-0 draw or miserable 1-0 defeat going on current form on Wednesday.
The miserable slow and plodding play is unforgivable and that comes down to Courts negative instructions.
As much as there are more than a few who are not good enough in the playing pool the manager or head coach which ever title you prefer to go with has to take responsibility for how he sets them up and team instructions.
I am not sure if he lost his nerve after the thrashing at Tynecastle but I would rather have ago at the opposition even if it means running the risk of conceding a few, rather than go negative Park the bus tactics.
Unbelievable that it is 4th cam be achieved with victory, however a bad result and well into the bottom 6 awaits as well which shows how poor everyone else bar the OF and Jambos are.

That is genuinely unbelievable. Similarly lose and there is a good chance we'll be 9th and with Rangers and Aberdeen away next we could be finishing the month 10th with St Johnstone in touching distance. We just can't afford to lose, but will we brave enough to try and win it?

I'll probably give it a miss for a while to be honest. Life's too short

The way TC has the team playing life's too bloody LONG! The garbage just goes on and on with no improvement in sight.

Can’t believe we can actually go 4th with a win. That is mind boggling. Just shows we’re not on our own with being pish. Would a top 6 finish appease most fans in regards to Tam staying?

I suppose it would to an extent.
But if the football continued to be the same ultra boring low scoring fare we have served up from now till say April then we can forget all about the Top 6.
I suspect Livi might usurp one of either Utd, Aberdeen, Hibs or Motherwell and snatch a Top 6 spot.

How about same boring football but snatch a top 6 place or even higher? As is often said it’s a results business. We do have the stingiest defense outside the top three. Hopefully Tam can recapture earlier form and it’s all a moot point.

Then he would silence his critics, this season as he would have achieved something tangible for the club, in his first season.
But could you honestly watch that brand of football in the long term, regardless of results/league position?
I think our crowds would dip significantly. Anyway, hopefully it's all a moot point as you say and we somehow starting hitting the back of the net, now and going forward.

Hard to answer, playing garbage but winning or drawing consistently or play well but take some pumpings along the way. Ross County are a good example, good to watch but near 50 goals against(?)-and it wouldn’t be unthinkable to see us finish above them whilst playing boring possession based guff.

I’m hoping we get a confident / cocky Watt tomorrow who can’t wait to run at his old pals.

Couple of touches of the ball so no much to comment on

Much better performance and attitude from the players tonight, far more positive on the ball.
Much braver with our passing and willing to take a risk rather than the backward safe pass.
I thought the Mcdonald was a class above gor the 70 minutes and special mentions to Graham, Levitt and Harkes who all played well.
How much better was Niskanen tonight when he had a go at that bug dumpling that he was up against.
More of the same on Saturday please.

Great win tonight. First time this season we've won a Premiership game at Tannadice and looked pretty comfortable in doing so.
That win and performance was really needed tonight and for once there were LOTS of positives.
Kevin McDonald's performance after not kicking a ball for nearly 2 years.
Niskanen taking on men, beating them with genuine pace and looking like a proper, driving winger.
Tony Watt finally getting his first goal for the club.
Dylan Levitt's rocket volley, which will be a strong contender for our goal of the season.
Young Rory McLeod making his debut at just 16 years old and 6 days. Becoming Utd's youngest ever player in doing so.
Keeping our 3rd clean sheet in a row.
All the other teams in and around us in the league dropping points (Hearts,Hibs, Motherwell, Aberdeen and Livi).
Looking like we have a wee bit of much needed height in the team now McDonald and Graham are in the side.
Last wee word on the latter. Had a bit of a torrid time at Dunfermline, was apparently a boo-boys target and of course had the indignity of his loan being cut short.
Since the boy came on at Celtic Park (only due to our squad being down to the bare bones) he has been an absolute rock at the back. Played a big part in 3 back to back clean sheets and it would have been 4 in a row if we never switched off in that last minute at Parkhead.
The lad is looking like the top prospect we had heard about 2 or 3 years ago when he was getting rave reviews at Queens Park whilst on loan. The lad deserves enormous credit for this turnaround in his season and career. That takes character.
Well done Ross.
