Definitely need a change of set up and I'd go something similar but as more of a 4-5-1

Thought about the above for a wee while and to be honest I don't have the first idea what our strongest 11 is and I don't think Tam does either.
I have the fear about this game today which is utterly ridiculous considering where St Johnstone are but have no faith the coach or sporting director.

Not a bad looking team tbh, well the best we can manage at least.

Given everything and nothing that's happened over the past weeks, if we get baet the day, then it's curtains for Courts IMO.

I'd be happy enough with this team apart from swapping Clarke for McNulty.

A bit harsh Billy. You'd fit in well at Watford, 6 managers in two & a half years.
So in the last 4 games we've got thro a very tricky Cup tie at Killie, come from behind to beat Ross County, kept Celtic at bay for 90 mins & avoided defeat at the Dump in a tense derby.
You want Courts to go tonight if we don't win at St Johnstone??

Think it was back in 2014 since we last played well in Perth so it's important that we start the game on the front foot and give the support something to cheer about.

We weren't too bad when we won there in August?

Yeah thought we were kind of lucky that day was meaning when we last went there and dominated.

He’s apparently dropped today. I saw someone’s post elsewhere saying the Arsenal player starts.

Na smeds. No as such. Not based on the result of this match solely. It's everything that's been happening since 30th October when we last played them. And the defeat to the Johnnies at that match was the start of the slippery slope. (1 of the exceptions to that for example being the 1-0 win against the SSBs).
Coupled with the poor transfer window, it's become a cliff edge for me.
You and the other 5k ST holders might not agree we me, and that's fair do's. It's just how I feel at the moment.

Do yourself a favour people and give this a miss if you were fortunate to escape that today.
We have no idea how to break a team down and are devoid of creativity.
The decision vs 10 man Saints to bring off Clark when we had 2 center half's twiddling their thumbs was baffling.
Recruitment is coming back to bite us, we have no speed/pace and we all knew that we needed a player that could pick a pass well before Christmas.
That and a junior coach on the sidelines sees us struggle tactically every week. Clueless
Disappointed again.

A disappointing performance, anyone can see that. Fans were great today though, as always.
Before we supporters jump to any kneejerk calls for change, its worth talking a moment to reflect on where we were when the current owners took over. Languishing in the middle of the Championship.
Now we are in the top six, 60 seconds away from being unbeaten away to Celtic, Dundee and Saints in our last three games.
Not perfect, but not bad either.

As I'm sure you're familiair, there is a well used cliche in football that you're 'Only ever as good as your last game' or words to that effect so to bring up the state that we were in with the Ogrens come in has absolutely heehaw to do with what people are moaning/concerned about here.
Whatever way it is dressed up, we have won 2 league games in our last 15 and can't seem to work a goal for love nor money. Even against the bottom two sides in the league.
To me, something feels fundamentally wrong with the way that the team is being set up and I honestly feel that you can see it in some of the players that they are just not being motivated correctly. The fans are well on their way to turning on Tam and once that happens, very few managers recover.
We've got an unbelievable chance on Wednesday to get back up the table and give us some real breathing space against the bottom pack. A good performance might, and I mean that in the the slightest sense, but it might just get everyone back on board and get us out the rut.
Motherwell will be up for this more than ever given the Watt situation and we need to be there as a support to give the team the backing it will need.
The time for excuses is long gone, we need results and we need them quick.

Great Post.
Home attendances are on the slide and after that today I would bet there will be huge spaces in the home end again and another sub 5000 attendance.
It's that which will make the Ogrens ask questions of the board.
Massive change is required and it's not a knee jerk comment, we have been rotten all season.

Can anyone see a game plan for how we are supposed to score goals?

We are getting worse. That today was pathetic, we did not have a clue how to break down 10 men. In 35 minutes v 10 men (bottom of the league as well) we created no clear cut chances.
The Tam Courts experiment hasn’t worked and it’s time to accept that. I wasn’t totally against trying it and the early signs were encouraging but for 3 months we have been horrible to watch and our results utterly embarrassing.
COURTS OUT.

One simple question, who would you want instead? Everyone made it clear before they didn't want a "merry go round" appointment like John Hughes or Derek McInnes. I think the board made a brave decision, it'll take time to see the results. As fans, we should stand by them and more importantly the players.
