Dundee Vs Utd - Tuesday 1/2/22

For anyone who isn't going (and was just gonna either listen on the radio or try for a dodgy stream) the full game is being shown 'as live' on BBC ALBA at 10PM.

I’d imagine it’ll be on hesgoal. A 5:45am start here. Got a bad feeling about this one with all the injuries etc.

It's not where you're from it's where you're at.

Cheers, I have work tonight so wouldn't be able to watch the whole game anyway but will record it and watch in the morning ( unless we get humped of course 😭)

Jeezo - how can we have just come out of a window with only those midfield and up front options.  McDonald will presumably improve that if he comes in, but what do we have on the bench that will make a difference if it is not working?

Re: Dundee Vs Utd - Tuesday 1/2/22

Strange team selection tonight.  I'm assuming a 3 - 4 - 1 - 2, but really no sure.
Hoping he hasn't gone flat back 4 and put Butcher in midfield?

Re: Dundee Vs Utd - Tuesday 1/2/22

180 minutes and 0 shots on target, can’t take a throw in , can’t take a set piece, can’t create from open play and when we get a chance can’t shoot. Don’t know what the “ game plan “ here was but it’s clearly not working.

Re: Dundee Vs Utd - Tuesday 1/2/22

Gehm was scrappy as phuck.

Finishing let us doon again. Twa gehms in a row we NOT 1 phuckin shot on target.

Beaton was hopeless. Adam the drunk drehver a dirty b@stard.

We really had to beat the rubber Johnnies now.

MOTM Watt.

Re: Dundee Vs Utd - Tuesday 1/2/22

We are minging

Absolutely nothing going forward, why we got rid of appere and never replaced him is absolutely madness, mcnulty is a complete passenger pointless him even playing does absolute zilch and when he does get the ball constantly gives it away

Defence solid- Graham absolutely immense, eddy looks back to his best and butcher did enough

Levitt and harkes finally started dictating the game last 10 mins and we finally started creating chances

Worrying.

Not an exciting game but a huge point. Good to see such a commanding performance from graduate Ross Graham.

We take the draw and move on 🧡

Re: Dundee Vs Utd - Tuesday 1/2/22

Absolutely abysmal again from us again.

We were dreadful at football tonight again for the majority of the game, fuckin ball was stretchered off at half time.

Don't care how bad they were, but we seem void of any real plan of how to go forward and score goals.

Benji was man of the match again and the young lad Graham played well also.

Tony you are kidding yourself on, home crowds are falling watching this shite.

Re: Dundee Vs Utd - Tuesday 1/2/22

Been a bit of an underwhelming week all up.

On topic - positives: One great save from Benji.
Watt - lovely touches class & commitment throughout. Only one that was really trying to stick it right up them.
Looked good after subbies came on.
Ross Graham.

negatives: Watt is played everywhere but in front of goal.
(How is Tam no seeing this)

Disjointed.

McNulty a complete waste of space. Poor touch poor, poor commitment, runs round like headless chicken.

Irrespective of woeful tranfer window we still have quality to beat this lot, we did when subbies came on - why did it take so long.

Tam seems to be a believer in pool rotation just for the sake of it, (modern shit) consequently starting X1's seem like a roll of the dice game in game out. Pick your best X1 Tam and stick with it. Dinnae worry about 6 games in 4 weeks or whatever worry about winning the next game.

You don't score you don't win - although that one is lot more than just team selection - it's about transfer window.

The goals are in the middle of the park - get Watt in there.

Re: Dundee Vs Utd - Tuesday 1/2/22

Game was as most people expected.
Two poor teams , where not losing was more important than winning.
Could be worse could be sitting bottom of the league.
Im predicting a shot on target on Saturday, actually fuck it im going for two shots on target.

Re: Dundee Vs Utd - Tuesday 1/2/22

Very disappointing performance, only went for it in last 10 minutes.

For Saturday drop McNulty and bring Niskanen in.  Would go to a back 4 as well and bring one of our new signings into midfield.

Re: Dundee Vs Utd - Tuesday 1/2/22

Scrappy Game but as others have said hard to see the game plan.  That was not a good team we were playing tonight.

when we get the ball forward we seem to be void of any movement and allow teams to get in position to mark up while we play neat little triangles in midfield.

Struggling to see what the game plan is or how this is that different from last season.

Big 2 games coming up and be ecstatic if we can take 6 points - but not full of optimism

Re: Dundee Vs Utd - Tuesday 1/2/22

Pretty pish game. Small signs of positivity with Levitt almost picking out a couple of defense splitting passes just a yard off. Looked decent going forward in the last 10 (obviously that’s not gonna mask the previous 80 minutes). McNulty needs binned, just a pity there’s no reserve league like back in the day where he could build up confidence. Niskanen wide looked mor effective than recently too. Plus, that draw puts them bottom. Could’ve been much much worse.

Re: Dundee Vs Utd - Tuesday 1/2/22

Not one shot on target in 90 minutes of football, against that quality of opposition, is abysmal.

Re: Dundee Vs Utd - Tuesday 1/2/22

Zero shots on target (for the SECOND game in a row).

Zero forwards on the bench.

Only one Premiership win in ten.

19 goals in 24 games

No pace in the team, no real shape, no real skill or excitement.

Boring, insipid play.

Get Courts and Asghar so far to fuck.
