Back on topic.... I seldom forecast starting XIs but these are the players I'd like to see.
In order of importance, not in team order.
MULGREW - I hope he's not injured?
WATT
FREEMAN
LEVITT
GLASS
SIEGRIST
EDWARDS
not fussed about  the other 4

dont think courts trust Glass when we dont have the ball

I'll ignore the questionable age profile of the team.
Yes nobody in the stands expects UTD to win every game however nobody in the stands expects us to lose every game.
This run cant go on much longer.

you do start to wonder if we will ever win another game thou, its been pretty bad

Have  a little more faith in the players, please.

I bet they can pickup on your negative energy during games.

Im 100% positive during the games and even clapped the players after the ST Mirren game.
But facts are facts and  managers that lose every week usually dont last too long.

that team looks pretty narrow. The last few county games/highlights I’ve seen they have wingers bombing forward (charles-cook?). I’d take any kind of win right now to stop the free fall.

Mulgrew out?
Did wonder when he went off before extra time at Killie.
3 changes then, Mulgrew, Sporle, Clark OUT
IN - Fuchs, Harkes, Pawlett.
potential bench - Sporle, Clark, Eriksson, Neilson, Glass, Mochrie, Appere.

prediction we win 1-0, it's not a must-win BUT if we lose tonite, lose to Celtic on Saturday, then God forbid lose on Tuesday then it could be interesting.

Is it a young team?

Siegrist (30 next Monday)
Edwards (28)
Butcher (31 next month(
Mulgrew (35)
McMann (25)
Fuchs (24)
Harkes (26)
Spörle (26)
Clark (30)
McNulty (29)
Watt (28)

Seems to me more like we have a squad full of experienced players, with a smattering of kids, most of whom don't feature (Meekison, Mochrie, Moore, Neilson etc).

Even our younger 1st XI players like Appere, Clamers, Levitt, Glass and Freeman are either 23 or 22 on their next birthdays, so not really 'kids' anymore i'd argue.

Fan support does help, of that there is no arguement.

But this squad is of a collective age where they need to go out and start getting results again.

Agree Tek, especially when the two games after County are both away games; Celtic and Dundee. It’s therefore imperative we don’t lose tonight.

Half hour in....

We are Kings of triangle passing
We could easy be 2 up without doing that well
Looks like we just need the final element to click

After Saturday we are going to be going into the derby on the back of 8 straight fucking defeats. Totally unacceptable and I can't remember a worse run

Might have made a cunt of myself there 😂😂

Don't care, massive massive sigh of relief

90th minute winner from Sir Nicholas Clark.

Brilliant turnaround. Reckon he just kept Courts in a job (for awhile anyway).

Re: Utd v Ross County - Wed 26/1/22 (7.45pm)

Haven't been able to watch tonight but the radio commentary that I did hear had us the better team for spells, but RC must have also been half decent as they had plenty shots too.   Interested to hear views of those at the game, but a welcome relief and let's hope that we can build on these two wins.

Re: Utd v Ross County - Wed 26/1/22 (7.45pm)

That was the first time Utd had went behind in a game and came back and won since November 2020.

2-1 win at home to Accies (also a Nicky Clark double).

What a relief and well done Nicky Clark.

Finally got a penalty even though it was a stonewaller.

Justice done, time wasting pricks.

Re: Utd v Ross County - Wed 26/1/22 (7.45pm)

Only watched on TV feed but have to say they were leaving something on every challenge and seemed to be getting away with it.  We need a more physical edge sometimes for teams like Ross county.

Happy with the win and nice to look up the table for once

Re: Utd v Ross County - Wed 26/1/22 (7.45pm)

Well thank phuck for that.

We dinna half make it difficult for ourselves tho. Shoulda been twa or 3 up beh halftime, if no for they misses.

Untill somedy else says otherwise, think thon Chunty player fouled McNulty, and shoulda been aff

Coonted aboot 5 times that Chunty got away we handballs.

MOTM for me Watt.

Well well well. A few people will be eating humble pie tonight.

Brilliant display, great game management from Thomas Courts to bring on the subs at a crucial time.

This is a turning point and I'm loving it.

Mate, wish you'd eat some humble pie.

On topic, two in a row we've ground it out.
Vital 3 points.
First half good (McNulty aside.)
Second half at times dire.
Watt class, Freeman our most excitng weapon.
Sheesh Clark can take a pen.
Precision cross, precision header for second.
RC time wasting bastards got their just desserts.
Don't know what Glass has got to do.

Re: Utd v Ross County - Wed 26/1/22 (7.45pm)

Well done Nicky Clark

MOTM for me was Watt.  Butcher and Freeman also did well.  Second half performance was pretty poor again.  Too many players badly off form just now.

Re: Utd v Ross County - Wed 26/1/22 (7.45pm)

Could’ve easily lost that on another day. That guy Cooke is decent for them and what I feared beforehand. Still, happy to finally get a win and no wake up at 5:30 for nothing.

Loads of Utd fans saying we should try and sign Charles-Cook.

Wouldn't be against it.

Boy knows where the onion bag is.
