Money + upto 2 players to get Watt in Jan
Can only imagine one will be Nicky Clark.
Part of me thinks the 100k or whatever it will be would be better spent signing 2 or 3 players and just waiting till the Summer for Watt. As without creative players alongside he may struggle to score.
Appere ?
I'd hope not.
I haven't given up on Louis, yet.

Ideally, I’d be offering up Connolly. We are clearly desperate to get rid. And maybe Chalmers on loan.

Worth Noting that Appere is out of contract in the summer and turns 23 in March (no development fee) so he could walk away for free anyway.
realistically who would Motherwell actually want ?

Carson away to morcombe and palace away to bid for smith
Personally, get a bit of money for both and bring in attacking players we desperately need I’m all for it

Disappointing and surprising about Carson.
He'd be our no.1 soon (maybe even this window). Now we'll need a Goalie.

Carson been injured while being on the bench, not that bothered about him moving on as long as we bring in a good keeper in the summer.
Not happy with the 500K apparent bid for Kerr Smith. 1 good season and he’d be worth 1.5 million.

He didn't look injured against the Rangers. Quite the opposite.
Can't imagine the mighty Morecambe are giving us much of a fee, so, personally i am disappointed if he wants to leave us for them (considering he will be our no.1 soon).

Kyle Lafferty is looking for a club again.
Just checked his wiki Tek, it's interesting.
Another candidate for the off-the-rails srikers XI

A lot of other clubs getting there business done early so they hit the ground running when the break is over and as we have become accustomed to we haven’t even got any decent rumours of incoming players never mind actually signing one.

Erm, Tony Watt?

Yeah I know about Watt signing a pre contract but the possibility of not coming until next season and the lack of any other movement just feels a bit deflating when the teams around us and below us seem to be strengthining. I know we have a few players coming back after injuries and suspension and just hope it is enough to halt our decline.

Strange decision.
Leaves us with only young Jack Newman as back-up. A boy who has never played even 1 minute of professional football for Utd.
And Benji can be quite injury prone.

I wonder if this new 'collaboration' with Fulham will see one of their fringe Strikers or wingers come to the club.
The lad Kieron Bowie who we were previously linked with when he was at Raith Rovers, plays for their U23 team.

Guess Carson will take over from Benji at the end of the Season.

More than likely, but i'm more worried about the here and now.
Again, Benji is quite injury prone and it just leaves us with a complete novice as back-up.
Surely we'll sign another Goalie?

Risky sending Carson on loan. Sounds like he’s been told he’s number one next season (fine with me).
So now we go with Siegrist, who has 1 foot out the door, and looking to bring in a proper back up for this season and beyond.
I’d have been ok with Carson getting increasing game time between now & May, phasing Siegrist out on his merry way.

Well, Ciftci's no coming back anytime soon. He's signed for the rubber Johnnies the day.

You really wonder where that pursuit leaves Carson then, as i can't imagine he will want to stay jut as a No.2.
And Clark will almost certainly only sign if he is guaranteed the No.1 jersey.

Carson on loan if we Dont get Clark.
If we do get Clark sell Carson.
I would imagine as simple as that

So, we'll try and get a better Keeper Trev, but if we don't you'll do. What a ringing endorsement that is.
If we are actively trying to sign a Keeper like Clark then we have seen the last of Carson. He won't want to be a No.2 indefinitely (quite rightly).

I don't agree with the old status quo of having a good keeper and a not so good one, what's wrong with having two quality keepers battling it out for a game?
