So, so far, with a week until the window opens we have already heard or read.
IN -
Utd signing Tony Watt from Motherwell on a Pre-Contract.
Utd signing Mikey Johnstone on loan from Celtic.
Utd interested in Jamie McGrath from St.Mirren on Pre-Contract.
OUT -
Kerr Smith talking to clubs including Celtic.
Benji in talks with English club.
Fuchs talking to clubs (Celtic, Rangers and Wigan rumoured).
This is gonna be an interesting and possibly busy window for Utd.

I'm really surprised at the Watt one. If you have a look at his career, he has struggled to score more than 2/3 a season and has never hit double figures, although that is likely to change this season. He has had a good season with Motherwell but overall his record of 13 goals in 58 games at Fir Park is no better than Nicky Clark. He's also moved clubs regularly, rarely staying more than a season in one place. I don't see anything to suggest this signing is anything other than a big risk.

Apparently after an Irish U21 keeper, David Odumosu, along with the sheep.

I think he had a poor attitude to the game and was possibly a bit immature.
Perhaps marriage and just getting a bit older has made him realise just how lucky he is to be a footballer as he is finally starting to fulfill the undoubted talent he shown even as a youngster at Celtic.
Everything about him this season seems different. Even his physique.
I'm hoping his career is going to be an 'Indian Summer' and his best football is still to come at Utd.

Dylan Levitt to end his loan with us. Hope not but…

Have you heard something or just speculating?

Wouldn't be fussed about losing Smith if we get decent money for him. I've loved Fuchs but he's been way off the boil for a couple of months now - perhaps his mind is elsewhere?

Had heard the rumour too tbf.
Ipswich were mentioned as his new destination. And some kind of falling out with TC mentioned.
Hope it's untrue, obviously.

Heard he’s fell out with Courts.

Shite news if Levitt's away.
If he is we really need to sign a replacement.

Agree tbh.
Would love to see Kerr Smith at Utd for years. but we never see our best youngsters at Tannadice for anything more than a season or two at most anymore. Shit situation, but i guess we are all getting used to it now and if it helps us sign in 2 or 3 attacking players from middle to front then so be it.
Not too bothered if Fuchs departs either. I think he's a good player, but a bit overrated by our support tbqh. I actually think Levitt is the bigger miss to us in midfield and would be a bigger loss in some ways.

Not so sure if we do need to Tek, we have the three M's.
And the G of course - he is special, roll on the end of the winter/Covid/sh!tey shutdown.
I'd take 3 M's and a G over an F (and an L) any day.
Better run, that's me got the cryptic police on my back....

I thought Mochrie was poor yesterday. Slowed us down on the rare occasions we went forward. Seems to spend too much time trying to look like a footballer rather than actually just doing it. At one point we were on the break 2nd half unusually with men forward and he was in their half with space to drive forward with the ball but he stopped, turned and looked about a couple of times (by which point Hibs had got players back) then tried a cross field pass to Sporle (which wasn't even a difficult ball to play) but instead found a Hibs player about 10 yards away from Sporle and left us exposed with men forward.

I thought Harkes was worse, did you see the one where he just boots the ball in the stand rather than try to control it ?

If it's the one I'm thinking about, approx halfway thro the 1st half, he did exactly the right thing in my opinion.
We were struggling under a spell of concerted pressure in & about our penalty box & it got to the 'clear the ball at all costs ffs stage' & that's what he did.
He's not one for just 'booting the ball into the stand cos he can't control it', that's what I did, only it wasn't a stand, it was the River Tay.
Can I suggest too that Harkes is work-in-progress, he's young, he'll be one of the best trainers at the club, he's got a brain, he's good enough now & yet we've still to see the best of him.
There is much significance in Ian Harkes being in the starting XI all the time.

It was first half I think its the one you described. Had plenty of time and space to bring it down, sunday league stuff.
BTW he will be 27 soon, young ?

I know you are a bit of a know-it-all but does it now extend to reading people's minds?
What i am thinking of was 2nd half because it happened when we were attacking the ET Stand.
56m 45 secs roughly.

Can only imagine one will be Nicky Clark.
Part of me thinks the 100k or whatever it will be would be better spent signing 2 or 3 players and just waiting till the Summer for Watt. As without creative players alongside he may struggle to score.
