If he has a cracking 6 months, he will have the pick of clubs and we won't even be in the list. If he is look warm then we might have a chance, but probably he will more money on the table if he leaves even then.
So can't see why he would sign an extension with us right now. Not much Utd can do about that reality unfortunately
Hopefully he does a job for us whilst still here, and I for one will wish him all the best as he moves another rung up the ladder. Sadly he will probably be disappointing again given how high our hopes are for him, and will move to a team in England who can pay him more to play at a similar level due to the lack of a level playing field financially between the two countries

We're now in a bit of a no-win situation but one that we've already won out of in many ways. No one expected to get him. No one really expected a proven goal scorer to actually continue to score at United (it never happens) and we didn't think we'd have him last year in our attempts to stay up (under performed but still played well and scored a few important goals).
So i think we take it on the chin. He either plays well and is off or plays bang average and (i) still goes for a new challenge (ii) stays with us because of a lack of a better option and obviously not contributing much.
I expect TC to be more like Robbie and base the attack around making chances for him which should lead to more goals and better body language. But that also leads to lots of offers for him.

Interesting rumour.
3 caps for Sweden and he's only 22. Would be a bit of a coup.
This name seems to be cropping up again.

Isn't it odd that a player speaks so honestly during a club sanctioned presser?
Feels like a come and get me and if not, he will be off later

Was surprised at just how many Utd fans were excited to hear his comments yesterday, as they felt him entering into discussions with the club meant a new deal could be imminent.
To me it felt like he is 100%. off after this season. He more or less says he will sign nothing in the next 6 months as he wants to see if he is in a position of more strength over his future by the January window. Fair enough.
But it did (to me) feel like a bit of a 'come and get me' plea to other clubs. Maybe not now but in January, when he can sign for whomever he likes on a pre-contract. Sounded to me that Utd were his very last resort, and only probably a possibility if he bombs this season.
My gut feeling is he will be at Hearts with Neilson either in January or next Summer.

That is one horrific gut feeling Tek. If we sell him to Hearts in Jan for peanuts the owners might as well back their bags now. After everything that went on with them.

I guess it would depend on the amount mate.
But if it was (for arguements sake) 250k and the player indicated he would rather leave immediately, might just be better to let him go and use a bit of the money to get a replacement in.
I'd think Hearts (or whoever) would probably sit it out though and get him for free a few months later.
Anyway, getting ahead of myself here.

Now we have a manager with no say I expect Big Tone to get his way this time. Welcome Daleho to BigTone United

Trevor Carson of Motherwell signed

Not sure he's not a bit passed his best and has not had a great injury record which is not ideal if Siegrist is off - which seems likely - but he's no Zwick or Szromnik so you have to be happy enough with that at least. Biggest shock was the club didn't leak it. Someone must be reading these pages...

Delighted with Carson considering the alternative of Danny Rogers (which was SURELY never going to happen in terms of him being no1 if Benji left). Safe pair of hands in Carson. Lovely. More please!

Happy if Carson is No.2 and Benji just stays and see's out his contract.
If Carson has came in with a view to Benji departing however then i see it as a downgrade.
Guess we will se how it plays out. I'd fully expect Benji in goals tomorrow night in Fife.
Who plays in the other League Cup games might tell us a lot.

We’ve found a gem in Benji. There is no way the replacement won’t be a down grade of sorts. We are in no position to find or afford a keeper of equal standing.
Carson is a very good replacement

I'm hoping he's not a replacement. Not this season anyway.
Fwiw i think Carson will do well for us. Just slightly concerned that he has had two very serious injuries over the past two years. Hopefully his luck is about to get better on that front.

Tbf to the boy, he spent a long time out with deep vein thrombosis, so it’s no exactly an injury. Tore his meniscus last season, so here’s hoping he’s over that. But if he is, he’s a more than capable replacement for Benji. Was one of the best keepers in the country before his injury.

Carson was first choice for Motherwell when they were finishing a lot higher up the table I believe. Excellent signing and hopefully the first of a few to help bring some positivity to the various boards.

Happy with Carson signing, a very decent keeper. I’d like Benji to stay but think it’s unlikely, glad we’re not going to be in a position of rushing about trying to find a replacement when he does go though.
Hopefully another new face soon

Yeah the one Tek mentioned further up mate. No idea what he is like but on the face of things an exciting signing if it happened.

Hahaha yeah, I noticed that too late 😋
Sounds promising, expect to see him holding a green and white shirt aloft next week then 🙄

The boy Irandust, only featured 19minutes in 10games for Hacken in their current season.
Having played around 30 games per season last 3 seasons and that he’s involved in international scene would point to a fall out with his club.
Contract expires dec 31, so maybe we’re in with a small fee to bring him across.

Report fae 20th June translated...
Hacken midfielder Daleho Irandust has been chased for a long time. And now Göteborgs-Posten reports that representatives from Dutch FC Groningen have been on site in Sweden to both scout - and talk about the midfielder.
In January, Daleho Irandust was about to be sold to French Toulouse for approximately SEK 19 million. But the transfer was stopped when the French felt that the midfielder needed surgery.
Irandust has now undergone surgery and interest is growing again. Göteborgs-Posten now states that representatives from Dutch FC Groningen have been on site in Sweden to scout Irandust. According to the newspaper, the club has been keeping an eye on the 23-year-old for a long time and that they also received a transfer offer accepted last winter.
And a few weeks ago, talks should have started between the various parties.
- There is a general interest in Daleho. However, nothing concrete, says Häcken's sports director Martin Ericsson to GP.

Doesn’t sound like he’s about to come to us. Is this another Asghar smokescreen.

My first thought when I saw this was that Siegrist is going. I'm ok with that as, a) it's inevitable and, b) Carson seems like a solid replacement.
