I'd be happy enough with that team starting apart from Robson and Sporle as eye need to make sure 1 is available for the semi so I'd rest Robson as he's played more football.

Agreed. Couldn't give less of a fuck about this game if I tried lol. Although having said that I do always want us to win every game and it would be good to see the fringe players fighting for a spot on the bench at Hampden.

I'm not sure Micky will rest the whole of the first team tbh, with a fortnight between games they may lose some sharpness. I think there will be a few changes but maybe not as many as the Killie game.

Heard a rumour that Sporle spat the dummy at being selected for the Killie game because he knew it meant he'd be left out of the cup game. He was seemingly dropped from the squad on Sunday because of his attitude.

Sporle I’m sure was doing media interviews prior to the Aberdeen game, doubt club would have him doing that if there had been a fall out.
I’d personally play a strong team on Saturday, full week after it until the semi. Obviously don’t risk anyone with a knock but I’d make only 2-3 changes from Aberdeen game.

Heard it was when he was told he wasn't in the starting 11 for the Aberdeen game and spat the dummy out. He drove off in his car when the players and staff were going onto the bus at tannadice on Saturday.

Really hope there is nothing in this rumour or if it is true, the situation gets rectified asap.
The club has potentially two of the biggest matches in it's history coming up in May.
We need every player available to us for selection. Particularly an important player to us like Spörle.

I'd still like us to balance our league efforts....
Best case scenario, we win the cup and finish 7th. Worst case we get beat from hibs and finish 9th.
I reckon we can introduce youth AND keep an experienced line up. Mcnulty looked sore after the aberdeen game so I'd expect him to drop out. Fuchs I'd expect to drop out out too. I'd guess charmers steps in as does butcher.
Tough one to decide whether to throw kerr Smith in again. One of the toughest positions to start in. He was up against a better than average striker though...and still so young. (Obviously he's got plenty of time to grow into the team - just don't want to ruin his confidence).
Perhaps Reynolds would be a better guy to talk him through the game but I think he's walking an injury tightrope and won't be risked

Bad ane. Although cannae see why he would have considered himself an automatic choice for Aiberdeen game.
Fwiw we've about 5 or 6 Argentineans and Brazilians in our club, they came to NZ pre Covid and don't want to go home .
Anyway, point is they all find somethingorother to do a bit of a Morelos about from time to time.
Remedy, gentle word in their ears.
Hopefully if rumour's true remedy's as simple as that cos his heart seems tae be in the right place and he's a good squad man.

Sporle rumours sound bad but he has been on the bench a lot this season so if he was going to spit the dummy surely it would have been long before that. Doesn't seem like the type.

I thought this when i was told this on Monday.

I do think we will see some changes from Sundays victory in Aberdeen but not that many.

Yeah Saturday's line up is anyone's guess. Will have to be relying on the radio to find it out as the club are doing the social media blackout that most Scottish clubs are doing this weekend.
I hope Jake Davidson gets his debut. And I'd like to see Meekison and Kerr Smith on the pitch at some point too.

I certainly think Meekison should start based on his cameo performance, and nothing to lose in giving him the chance. I'm really caught between not wanting anyone key to get injured but also think 2 weeks is a long time and the players need to keep their sharpness. I'll leave it to Micky I think 😂

Same team as started against Aberdeen !

Surprised a little, but I'm sure we did the same thing the game before the cup final in 2010. Keeps the players sharp for next week
Yeah. I'm ok with the same team. No midweek game so plenty of time to recover and league position still important.

Just praying for no injuries tbh. Although injuries could happen in training too so no point leaving players out really.

Hopefully a bit of a wake up call for the semifinals next week. A bit worrying Mickey saying we couldn't break them down and Yogi saying they nullified Utd.

We were far too hesitant IMO. Esp in midfield and defence.
If you've got the ba, and there's 8 men in front of you, you shouldna be backpassing, or crossing the ba to the other side. Surely to phuck, give it to 1 of the 8 in front of you.
Not enough service to the Shanks and McNulty, and the quality of the bas forward to them was pish. Shanks puse efter he came aff said it all.
But disregard what I'm saying, in the words of Benji the 1st half has been "crap".

Utter shite today.
Slight improvement when Chalmers and Appere came on, but only 'slight'. One shot on target all day is embarrassing and back to our very worst form.
Shankland's body launguage when he came off looks worrying. The boys confidence looks destroyed.
Only positive for me today was Deniz Mehmet who was very good and stopped us from getting a bit of a doing.

For me our worst performances have came against teams where we need to take the game to them.
The Aberdeen game played straight in to our hands, they wanted to play out from the back so our press caused them severe problems. County were happy for us to have the ball and when they had possession they were quite comfortable booting it long for the boy White.
Soon as we went 1-0 down I knew it was done. Diamond midfield doesn't allow us to stretch the play and even if we bring on wingers we have no one who can pick a pass.
I reckon we'll play way better against Hibs simply because they're favourites and might try to play football, which suits us. Whether we win of course is a different matter...
EDIT : Bad news when the first pass that stretched their defence was from a 16/17 year old centrehalf we brought on with 10 minutes left.

Honestly don’t want to say much about yesterday apart from that was phuking awful. Not good enough, no excuses.
Hopefully things improve massively for the semi and last couple of games.
