Needless to say Richard Foster isn't a united fan

Foster greetin live on telly is FAF. With that said, we've been absolutely shite. Appere on as soon as possible please.

The Partick Pr*ck. Ex Hun and Sheepshagger. No surprise he’s mouthing off about United .
We have been s.hite though. Forfar up for this as I suspected. Massive improvement required.

It's fucking hard being a United fan sometimes

The boy Nditi for Forfar has looked like a handy player tonight. Might just be because we're mince though.

Yep it'll be that. This is a fucking shameful performance

Should be happy to be through, not happy though. That was absolutely shocking, against a team that's playing every couple of days and going to fucking work as well. Embarrassing and just not close to good enough. Our journey will end next weekend.

We’re going back words, Mellon done a good job for us keeping us up but I cannot see how we improve under him at all, the talks over extending pawlett deal sums the whole thing up
Our players value in transfer market has dropped massively except Benji because he has to make about 20 saves a game
It’s absolutely dire stuff every single week, honestly can’t remember the last time I sat watched united and thought to myself wow that was brilliant
Depressing

My predicition was 0 v 5.
At the time I was tempted to put 0 v 1 AET as an alternative.
That was the shitiest performance all season, and there has been some shite.
Crying out for positivity down left. Robson out - offers zip + class winger required.
What's wi no Logan Chalmers ?
Why persist wi McNulty if hees loan contract's up soon ?
First time I've seen players walk off looking heads down totally dejected.
MOM Edwards
Got a bit of work to do Micky.

Well I've mellowed a little and will just look forward to the next round and hope we perform better when not expected to win.

I think all these wee'er teams have done to us what we've done to the spfl this season. Keep it tight, organised and work hard. We struggle when the pressure is on us to break down the opposition.
I've no doubt that mcnulty. Old be a player but we throwing long cross field passes up to him and expecting magic. It's not his game.
We need him to be sitting on the shoulder of the defence and getting in behind. Similarly for shanks. We arent playing to his strengths and we arent seeing seeing return on it.
As for clark we've not seen anything from him for a long time (since he signed his contract?)

He's kept us up and we are in the QF's of the Scottish (minimum).
But, sorry, that is enough Mellon for me. Absolutely brutal to watch this Utd side.
That was the 5th time we have played a lower league team this season and we've been shite in every single match. It may well be a plausible enough excuse why we can't be more attacking and score goals in the Premiership i.e. we just don't have the quality of player.
But against teams like Forfar?
His system, tactics, formations, team selections and (most of all seemingly) motivational skills just aren't relating to these players.
Some look totally unhappy (mainly Shankland).
And Mellon himself looks unhappy imo.
Something not right in the camp and i think something will give in the Summer and has to (be it either Mellon leaving or a few of our more vaunted players departing).

On a seperate note, i will say a big well done to the back four and Goalie/s.
Namely Liam Smith, Ryan Edwards, Mark Reynolds, Jamie Robson, Benjamin Siegrist and tonight Deniz Mehmet.
4 clean sheets out of the last 5 games (and only 1 conceded) is very good form. And that is 15 clean sheets now this season out of 40 played. Not bad.
Helping to paper over the cracks regarding our totally one dimensional play and glaring deficiencies from middle to front.
Look on the bright side, we are through to the next round. At least one more match for folk to moan about.

That was absolutely pathetic last night.
Roll on the next round though. I imagine will be televised again next weekend.

It's a strange situation we are in. On the one hand its 4 wins in a row, unbeaten in 6 with only 2 goals conceded in that time and only 1 defeat in our last 9 games (to Rangers).
On the other, last night we were absolutely honking. Yes Forfar worked hard and all that matters is getting through but I really hoped that for once this season we'd control a game from start to finish. To be fair, the 2nd half we did, but the quality on show was awful. I'm not overly sure what MM is supposed to do about that, but I'm sure there had to be a better approach.
Jamie Robson didnt look like a footballer.
McNulty looked like he didnt give a fuck and was actively trying to make the game difficult for us.
Sporle looked miles off it.
Clark just coasted through the game (not in a good way).
Shanks just looked dejected.
I'll give pass marks to Smith, Edwards, Reynolds, Butch and Deniz. As most of them did what they had to do, but next season I want to see Chalmers, Appere, Fotheringham and Mochrie all get much more game time. Because they HAVE to be better than the shite we've had on show for large chunks of the season.

Maybe it was just where the mics were positioned but I hardly heard Micky last night - every other game this season you've heard him shouting and bawling pretty much all the way through the game. Mind elsewhere? Or just thought we had to turn up to win? Either way that was a shite performance.... again.

I really don't known what people were expecting. We have struggled all season to create chances even against so called lesser opposition so what gave anybody the impression we were going to do it last night ?
The defence did its job and the midfield / forwards did what they have all season so no great shock there.
We are in the next round and that's all that matters at the end of the day.

And if we'd lost?
Apoplexy maybe?

That's the way I see it BMT.
There were some good passages of play in the 2nd half.
I do appreciate some fans' frustrations though...
One win away from a Hampden semi, how good would that be whilst we're chasing 7th spot in the league.
There's a lot of football to be played and soon we'll be allowed in

I got more inebriated as the evening wore on.
I thought overall, it was a poor game, and got more and more frustrated the longer the 1st half went on. There were periods of the match where you would think we were playing a Premiership side.
The 2nd half was better. The great shot from Pawlett lifted my nerves.
A wins a win, but if we don't buck-up, we'll be under the cosh the next round.
MOTM for me Liam Smith.

That was exactly the sort of game I was expecting. That is the overall standard of Scottish football atm. S.J. won a trophy playing like that . Aberdeen beat Dumbarton away 1-0 in the last round playing even worse than what we saw last night.
On to the next round.
