United fans won’t like this. But I feel the lad has to move on for his own careers sake? Thoughts? Feels like a wasted talent at the moment.

A bit like saying yer wife or lass is too hot and wasted in your bed as yer no performing so give her away to be pumped properly by someone else.
Bonkers.

Great analogy 😂😂
Agreed

Yup. Sorry mate but Shankland is also playing in this team and shouldnt be excused because he maybe isnt getting the service. Remember Billy Dodds? Made an average team very good. If Shanks was doing that, he'd be away. 4 goals in 20+ matches. He's not being played out of position, he has rarely been isolated in games. Im not saying he's been bad, but its not the case that he is 'too good for United' as so many are saying.

Unbelievable 😂😂
Now back to the topic, my priority is united creating chances for Shankland not letting him leave for his own good.

Can any Stats guys comment on the difference between the 3 strikers we have ( Shankland, McNulty and Clark ) Ie minutes played, shots on target , goals etc as it would be interesting to see. Have McNulty and Clark been played as a partnership ? What about Clark being played as the main striker ?

I think we should be playing 2 of them and leaving 1 on the bench. Playing McNulty out wide or playing Clark anywhere other than as a striker or a 10 is a waste of time. It also gives us a good option off the bench to try and change the game if needed.

Agree completely. McNulty and Shankland through the middle. Clark usually does well coming on as a sub.

I see on twitter that Hibs would be interested if Nesbit goes and apparently United are willing to accept £250k for him according to the Hibs sites.
We planned on selling him big, the reality is we won't get big for him. 4 goals in this league with us and zero with Aberdeen in the premiership. Not exactly great.

Come on mate. I've seen this tweet. You cant have read that and genuinely taken the 250k price tag seriously?
The page is called 'Hibernian Fans'.
Stop scaremongering.

He'll either leave us for over £1m or he'll leave us for free when his contract expires. Simple as that. Any other rumour is shite*
*unless it comes from Scott Burns

Nah I can see the logic in that rumour, right enough. A Scotland international with 18 months left on his contract, with a potential value just 8 months ago of £2m+ going for £250k to a rival.....
Nae wonder you get anti vaxers with this level of personal scrutiny.

If we aren't going to give the lad any service then he's probably better away, really feel for him.

Honestly these comments get me so riled up. What a load of shite.
No offence to you mate as many others have said the same. But fucking hell.

I’m for giving Mellon more time but his biggest mistake this season is expecting our strikers to be the creators and finishers of moves. Works if you’ve got salah, Mane and Firminho. Not if it’s 3 penalty box strikers. The balance of the team is shite and it seems naive to think playing all of your best players on paper in one team is the way to go.
Shanklands overall performances have been sub-standard. Hard working in a lot of games but usually in the wrong areas. Not quite the same player that was running from the half way line against Morton and Partick.
Certainly not feeling sorry for him.
Fuchs on the other hand, I have sympathy with. That is a boy taking on more than one players role!

So you reckon we are delivering him the chances he needs then?
