How many have there been in our 110 year history?

I can't find the answer on Arab Archive so thought we could see how many we could come up with on here amongst ourselves.

I ask because i saw this fan made Celtic t-shirt earlier on online and it surprised me at how few Captains they have had in their 132 year history.

So i will start with Utd Captain's in reverse order.

Hundreds will have captained the team on any given day but there will have been far fewer official club captains.

Here's one that always amazes me.

Not surprised it's not on the excellent Arab Archive cos it's a list that can be quite indeterminate. Like sometimes you can go thro two captains in the one season. And sometimes the honour is bestowed too frivolously. Anyway my iconic captain of my earlier years was the magnificent DOUG SMITH and of my mid years the brilliant PAUL HEGARTY. Of the last 20 years no one really jumps out at me tho no doubt I'm missing at least one good ane.

Jerry Kerr was captain during war years but missed War Cup final with injury. Also 2nd best manager we've had.

almost certainly i would have thought
that's what I was saying about the golden years, we had so many captaincy candidates
hegarty also captained scotland btw on at least one occasion
and hamish played a few games as scotland u/21 over-ager & i'm sure he was also made captain
