It's not where our season is for God's sake, he's still in Dundee & either he asked for or was offered training facilities. It's good that he's getting a run out v Rovers, both sides (he & the Club) know the score exactly so there's absolutely nothing to lose. Chances are we'll never here of him again & that'll be the end of it & we can get back to jizzing over Norwood & Safranco. Exterminators are rife on here, posters are always wanting to get rid of certain players, yeah, sign the boy from Rochdale BUT ADAM KING MUST GTF. And btw what's he done apart from never get a game? Cue the reply, yeah, we must get rid of Adam King....

Think you’ve got the wrong end of the stick tbh mate, I’m absolutely fine with him training, I’ve got no problems with that however, the worrying thing is he away to play a game for us, say he has a stormer scores a hattrick (which he has done for us before in reserve games) mellon actually changes his mind and decide to sign him, 3 games his body has broken down again and were completely back to where we started! That’s my worry, could be so far from what’s gonna happen, but that’s where I am!
Also think it pretty evident that’s there’s player in our squad that need moved on, for us as a club and them as a player, don’t think we need to keep posting about them

tbf smedDUMm, I don't think the problem is just with Sow himself, but also what it says about the progress in developing the squad.
So far we have had talk of 3 attacking players potentially coming in over the summer, one of whom Neilson was interested in, and the other two seem to have been seemingly financially unrealistic from the get go. We've been crying out for at least one marquee signing since we were promoted, and with no offense to the boys who have some in recently, we are still waiting.
With our form looking scary, the transfer looming, and uncertain times ahead due to Covid, Sow is the only news coming out of Tannadice so naturally people are worried. A good result at the weekend would go a long way to steady the nerves. A hattrick for Sow in this friendly might have the opposite effect.
Bring back Darko Bodul I say!

If he scores a hat trick v Rovers he's welcome to line up for me v St Mirren on Saturday. His contract would be subject to playing games, both sides would be agreeable to that. And if he has a conscience (as I think he does) then he could do us a big favour. Clark being our 2nd striker this season doesn't smack of top six to me, more bottom two. So highly unlikely as it is, give Sow a last look.
Paul Watson was a player that once needed 'moved on' but I wish he'd been at Ibrox on Saturday.

With the Funsters signing Charlie Adam, can they really afford to play with two luxury players in the middle of the park?
Out of the box a wee bit, but would it be worth our time trying to convince Dorrans to cross the road? Pretty sure I mind reading that his contract has a clause that allows him to walk if he gets a better offer.

Didn't think much of him to be honest when we played them. I'd take the young boy Finlay Robertson in midfield though. Looks a quality prospect, albeit we're somewhat overloaded in CM with adding Hoti.

Osman Sow nowhere to be seen at training today.

Still very very quiet on the signing front. Becoming very worrying this.

trying to work out if it's a continuation of last year where a lot of business wasn't known until it was very nearly concluded or not. But that would conflict with very recent times where Scott Burns appears to know everything in advance.
The only other possibilities are we're happy with the squad or we've reassessed the budget. It might be the strikers we went for were Shankland replacements and we now think he's staying.
3 vital games against the type of teams that will dictate whether we're comfortable or scrapping this year. It would have given everyone a lift to have new blood (and better quality) in the team for all of them.

Not surprised by the lack of signings, the financial impact of football is enormous, and next year will be harder than this year. Lack of companies wanting to sponsor, mass unemployment so fans not purchasing season tickets etc...
Dundee making signings because the high court went in favour of the FCA case, so their pandemic insurance has them covered. I hope we had the cover or some type of insurance? Aberdeens expired in April.

We have a bottom 6 squad currently. And out of the bottom 6 i would suggest there is very little between the teams.
If we don't make 2 or 3 signings we run the risk of going straight back down, it's that simple.
It's all very well thinking we can hang-off till January for recruitments but 2016 showed us that that is a dangerous gamble.

I think we will all feel better about things if Shanks bangs in a couple at the weekend and we get back to winning ways.
Fingers crossed for that then 🤞🙏

Disagree at present we have a championship team imo.

I dont.
We are for me a long way off being happy if he scored a couple at the weekend.
