I think it just shows the power of a forum rumour! Things get taken on face value far too often. Also people who crave some kind of attention will say anything to get it.

I think that we're just too busy trying to find a manager mate.  With Brannigan away, Asghar is effectively doing his old job as well.  I'd imagine finding a new manager would have fallen under the remit of CEO rather than Sporting Director.

Not so sure about needing a manager in before signing new players.  Harkes signed an extension last week, which is tantamount to the same thing, really.

 
I'd imagine it's probably also difficult to entice new players until they actually know who the new boss is.

i'm going to imagine Tony will have already handed MM a list of targets that we had already been looking at and within a week or so would like to see 2 new arrivals one of them hopefully being Nisbet. 
Would like to see us move on King and Pawlett pretty quickly.
