Yeah, read on a bit further and you'll see where I've said it's never gonna happen. It was said in hope rather than expectation 😉

Live in hope mate.
Pars woulD likely see Cammy Smith as more potential. Could have done better for us but didnae quite fit.

The Sun has us in for Alex Gogic from Hamilton.
Meant to be a hard bastard, no-nonsense centre half. Good player going by what fans of other teams are saying

100%. Highlighted him straight away when he left Hamilton. Can also play centre mid.

I'd be happy with that.

Feel realistically hopeful nowabout being able to at least try to bring in some quality after 5000 plus fans delivered commitment.
Was worried about season ticket sales.

Wtf does that mean?

We need at least 4 decent players In imo. CB, 2 Wingers and a Striker.
Gogic would be a decent start for CB.
The courier had us after Drey Wright a few weeks ago the former Perth Saints winger, would be a decent signing. Jonny Hayes would be magnificent.
Nisbet looked good last season but having to pay potentially over 250K for a lower league striker Is a massive gamble and one I’m not sure I’d like us to take, would prefer us to go for experience and proven. Nadir’s available on a free as Is Kyle Lafferty, say what you want about him but he’d be a cracking signing.

I'd much rather we spent a bit on a player who has the potential that Nisbet has. The lower league line has been blown out of the water by what Shanks did last season. He got 23 goals to Shanks 28 last season. A much more sensible signing than Nadz who wont be coming back to us simple as that and has not been able to get to the levels he did before with us. Kyle Lafferty would not be a cracking signing in my opinion. 33 in September and a complete scumbag. The last thing we need.

We can forget about signing anyone for the foreseeable future if this is true about Neilson switching sides. Deeply disturbing stuff and it worries me that there might some even bigger announcements coming

You do realise that we have a sporting director who will handle 90% of the transfers and 100% of contracts handed out?
The owner was hesitant to let Neilson leave, he could have tried to get him to stay, he didn't, that speaks volumes.
Neilson wasn't a tactical genius, he wasn't even tactically good, three League wins in as many months proves that.
We move on.

A new manager is going to want to make his own signings whether or not we have a sporting director. Sure, they will work together on it but signings will still be on hold till we get a manager in. Who's going to want to sign if they don't know who they are going to be working under?

The court case is a bigger hindrance to our signing ability at the moment but having a manager certainly doesnt help.
"Hi there, do you want to sign for Dundee United?"
Oh yeah sounds good. A Scottish Premiership club
"Ah but wait we've got this wee matter of a court case hanging over us just now to keep us in the Championship. Its probably not going to make a difference, but its there."
Ok well can I maybe speak to the manager and chat about what my role in the team would be?
"Hmmm remember that court case we mentioned? Aye well the the club that are trying to take our place in the Premiership just took him off of us"
Ah I see. TAXI.
Fuck Ann Budge. Fuck Hearts.

Hearts fans want Nisbet, you mean. Nothing to suggest this on Twitter mate apart from fans jokingly saying they'll probably sign him now after all that went on. Unlikely imo but wtf do we know 😂

There will be no new signings until a new manager is appointed.
