Transfer Deadline Day Thread

Expect a pretty quiet day Utd wise.

The 2 Smiths (Matty and Cammy) maybe away. And maybe Sow released?

Maybe 1 in. ?

If we got 2 in (Striker and winger) i'd be very happy.

p.s please no Shankland bids that test the clubs resolve.

Re: Transfer Deadline Day Thread

Would be surprised if Sow was released. He seems to be back in the fold.

Don't think Shankland will go but then I didn't think Armstrong and GMS would go when they did either...

Re: Transfer Deadline Day Thread

Scott Banks going out on loan to Alloa already. Thought Palace would’ve wanted to have a proper look at him before sending him out.

Probably a good move for the guy tbh as senior football will only make him a better player. Just a bit ironic. I hope he doesnt get any abuse from Utd fans. Had an amazing opportunity and took it. Disappointed he didnt want to stay with us but he may go on to make us money in the future.

Re: Transfer Deadline Day Thread

Talk of Hibs making a £250k offer for Nisbet.

Should Robbie try to convince Mr. Ogren to pre-emptively spend the Shankland money on getting his replacement in early? I wouldn’t even be against us loaning him back to Dunfermline for the season.

We should have made a move already.

Re: Transfer Deadline Day Thread

Scott Burns, who is Asghar’s preferred journo, has us trying for a winger today.

Heard elsewhere that Jamie Walker May be the one we’re after.

Important to remember that the Irish window doesn't close until mid-February so the two Smith's dont have to move today for them to be able to move on. Neilson quoted as saying both pretty much done I think.

was rejected as far as i believe, there now going after McNulty.

Also heard the Walker rumour but dont know how much weight in it, maybe a loan deal till end of season then maybe look to get him in summer if he impresses?
need a winger in though.

Few media outlets running with the Walker story now.  Jamoe Walkier from before Hearts sold him was a great player... His injuries have obviously taken their toll and the fact he's nit been playing for Hearts worries me that he's just not 'got it' any more or he cant keep fit.  The last thing we need is another Pawlett/Sow and especially if its just to get him fit for a team that we'll hopefully be playing against in the Premier next season.

Don't get ne wrong though, if he comes in and can get fit and show the ability he had 3 years or so ago, he will create a shit load of chances

Re: Transfer Deadline Day Thread

If the Jamie Walker deal includes an option to buy, then it’s a no brainer, gives us a chance to assess his fitness and see if he’s over his injury problems or just another Pawlett/Sow. Boy’s obviously a player and has proven he can cut it at top-six Premier League level.

If there’s no option, I don’t really see the point in it, the league’s pretty much sewn up and we’re out of the cups, so all it would really do is build his fitness for a return to Hearts, strengthening our competition for next season.

Re: Transfer Deadline Day Thread

David templeton just left burton to return to Scotland for family reasons 👀

Re: Transfer Deadline Day Thread

David Templeton has just been released by Burton so he can move back to Scotland for family reasons.

Thoughts?

From what I can see, he has been pretty much injury free all season and has played some part in most of Burton matches recently.

Decent enough player but at 31 not really an ogren type of player ie no sell on value.

Maybe we need a mix of youth and experience though?

If his stats on transfermarkt are correct, hes not played a lot of football and seems to be and 'impact' sub. With just under 200 minutes from 17 league appearances

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Re: Transfer Deadline Day Thread

Apparently trying to sign an Argentine striker who had a loan spell at Stranraer earlier in his career. Luciano Nequecar’s his name.

From what it says on transfer market, he signed for a new club just over a week ago. Doesn't sound likely in that case

Weirdest signing ever if true.

Guy plays for Maritimo's B team and isn't exactly a kid.
