Morton v Dundee United (Tuesday, 10/12/2019)

I've wanted to start the match thread for a while, so here it is.

Prediction: Match Off (Waterlogged pitch).

Re: Morton v Dundee United (Tuesday, 10/12/2019)

That looks a sound prediction.

Weather has been atrocious with heavy rain for 24 hours and looks to get no better for a few days.

Wouldn't be a bad thing if it is postponed again.

Zero chance this goes ahead.

Will be called off by about Noon i'd imagine.

Re: Morton v Dundee United (Tuesday, 10/12/2019)

Forecast for the game is not as wet as it had been a couple of days ago, maybe the strong winds will help dry the pitch to the extent a referee will let it start. But the same winds would, with a drenched surface, waste any match anyway.

Re: Morton v Dundee United (Tuesday, 10/12/2019)

We will find out a bit more tonight  about this United side, no pretty football tonight and none of that knocking it across the back line.

Butcher and Harkes will be key to a United win.

Braw result and good to get that game oot the way now.  Another toughie on Saturday.  Just need to keep churning the wins out.  Great to have Lawrence back too.

never going to be a classic but 3 points at a venue we’ve struggled at recently. Happy journey home.

Well done Pep and the team....a hell of a run we are on. Long may it continue.

Perhaps Jurgen would be more apt now?

Re: Morton v Dundee United (Tuesday, 10/12/2019)

Good win at a ground where Morton have a decent record against most teams.

Not a classic performance from Utd by all accounts but we get the same outcome of 3 points that we got for beating Morton 6-0 and Dundee 6-2.

Delighted young Appéré scored again btw. Really rate the boy.

Done enough on a horrible night for football, the mark of champions it must be said.

Special mention to Watson at the back that lad would header his granny if he needed and on nights like tonight it was all about doing the basics well.

Listening on Arabzone I think I heard his name mentioned more than anybody else. Sounds like he had a great game.

My MOTM. Excellent performance.

Watson the best player on the park for us tonight.
Started off very brightly but then it all got a bit scrappy from our point of view. Couldn't string 2 passes together at times in the 2nd half. Lack of width didnt help imo
However a great 3 points in our quest to get out this fucking league.

We now have the best away record in the league.

15 points from 24.
