Away to Dunfermline this weekend. What changes would you make?
They are in form of late and will be looking to get another 3 points in the bag against us. We really need to up our game this weekend.
Laidlaw
Robson
Reynolds
Connolly
Seaman
Nesbitt
Harkes
Stanton
Pawlett
Clark

I'd give the manager a day off so we can play 442 or 433

He has to try something else for me. We nee to go for it. 3 points is a must this saturday. I know how many times have we said this but we are now in a pretty bad position due to results imo.

I felt we were a lot better on Saturday when we took off Seaman and went 3 at the back. Put Stanton in the middle and started getting so much more possession due to having the man advantage in midfield.
Yes it left us stretched on the counter, but if Robson had just stood up and made a tackle we leave with a point at least and could have had the 3.
I would like to see.

Gotta be Laidlaw in the sticks. Siegrest is flogging a goal from a cross every second game just now or more. Plus he’s a bit of a shitebag hence the reason for cross ball errors(too scared to fling himself in harms way).
Nobody got Alexander in the goal yet?
This is no time to be handing loanee goalies a starting place.
The back 5 need to gel for the next 9/11/13/15 games.
Promotion will be won from the back.
Seachest has had more confidence about him of late when the Two Marks came & Robson commanded the left back spot. That has been acknowledged even on here.
There were dozens of gk errors from all over the country on tv at the weekend.
I maintain Thistle's first goal wasn't one of them.
It was Reynolds or Robson who should have been on McDonald's shirt tail.
Bringing Laidlaw in (who is already shite on the forums despite nobody having seen him) for his debut at EEP would be unwise.
He is there for cover and until Seachest starts flogging as per De Gea we don't need him.
Founder - was checking the correct spelling of Siegrest when a new nickname came to mind. My apologies if upsetting. Just a bit of fun

On this thread there are a couple of posts, and on a few other threads too, pointing to Robson being culpable for one and sometimes two goals on Saturday.
I'm struggling with that. It seems all others' misdemeanours are forgiven if the blame can somehow, however tenuously, be placed at Jamie Robson's door.

That’s the team.
Clark & Safranko must drag CHs out of position. Switch over etc. Pawlett & Nesbitt encouraged to hit the bye line. Butcher sits if Harkes and/or Stanton go.
It can be tweaked to suit the game as it goes.
They better be hurting after Saturday.

One of my worries there, MockChop, is Pawlett and Nesbitt going to the byline: both almost always come inside. No full backs, with ineffective wingers playing narrow is a recipe for disaster.
Plenty other concerns about form too, including that of the two centre halves.
But we have to try a different approach, no doubt about that.

Pat, it's the last minute and he doesn't even tackle their player, allowing him to drive down the wing and square it for the 17 year old lad to score.
If he gets anything on the tackle (and i mean anything) then it gives our other players the chance to get back to cover.
He is mainly at fault for their winner in my book.

We'll have to agree to disagree: for me, he was the left back, who for much of the game was our main attacking threat, having to also get right over the breadth of the park to cover for the absent right back, while the central defenders were also posted missing.

Until Seigrest starts flogging them? You're at the wind ups surely. He's flogged loads from crosses. Eyes closed, nowhere near the ball and hands lower than the opponent's head despite being 6'4. Recently.

Not the first time Ive wondered this Pat, are you Robsons Dad? Although I respect your opinion, Robson was clearly at fault for the second goal.

Ha ha, no, I'd had the snip many years before.
I must have a blind spot about him then.
Of course he could/should have brought Mansell down, watching that referee it might not even have been a foul.
My point is about the energy levels he showed throughout the match, and he got over to the wrong side in the 90th minute to reach a young player who had only been on the park for 15 minutes. He should have stayed over in his own side of the park, and let someone else take all the blame.
In the previous 30 seconds prior to Thistle scoring the winner, McMullan took a free kick in the Thistle half, Safranko and Reynolds miscontrolled the ball, Robson intercepted a through ball and played the only pass within that 30 seconds to another United player, McMullan miscontrolled the pass then flicked it forward hopefully, Clark headed on but it was intercepted, ex United player Anderson passed to ex United player Slater who plays a leisurely ball down the line past McMullan (who was supposed to be covering at right back) to Mansell........he plays the ball past Robson who, according to many, should have fouled the Thistle forward.

I would have been happy with him just making a tackle Pat. But even if it was a foul, so be it.
We would have left with a point.

Any small slither of hope I had left has totally dissapeared tonight.
Phucking Deja Vu from the last 2 seasons.
If Neilson doesnt shake things up on Saturday then I can see Dunfy turning us over and we're then going to have to fight to ensure we make the playoffs at all.

Loosing on saturday could be massive in a downfall for us.
Has to be avoided and 3 points taken.
