I don't want us signing anyone else under László.
Keep a bit back in the budget to let a new Manager make 2 or 3 of his own signings before the end of August.

Tek, I've little confidence in any of his signings, save Sam Wardrop. But much of the budget has probably gone on the Csaba signings, and I feel we are stuck with mediocrity for a while yet.

Frans showed enough today to be a good player at this level
The keeper looks an upgrade on Lewis
Some signings wont work thats for sure
No manager gets every signing right

True.
I thought Glass was decent today. Good to see him getting game time

Glass was decent aye. Shame his screamer v Raith wasn't witnessed by more. Worth a watch on AZone. Hope he can bulk up a bit so he's not brushed off the ball so easily.
Arbroath's tactic of playing a high line offside trap wasn't that risky as we didn't play to evade it. It worked well for them.

Back on topic, 27 years old 6fit 3 Barton plays defensive midfield but can play CH.
He was Thistles player of the year in the 1st of his 2 seasons there.
Played for NIreland U21s then switched to the Republic of Ireland.
Seen as a strong character.

You honestly think we will have a new manager by the end of August? Did you start drinking early today? 😂

I’m hoping before the end of July or possibly even the end of this week. Sometime very soon

Nope, never touched a drop all day.
And, yes. I hope so.

So instead of hoping he turns it around you'd rather he fails more and gets sacked?

I have ZERO faith in him Swing Kinker. I am also hearing various stories that the players are unhappy under his stewardship.
I don't want Utd to fail per se. But I want us to act fast when (imo) the inevitable bad results happen. Very fast.
We cannot spend another season in this league.

We've only just signed most of the player's, they are his signings, how on earth can the players be unhappy under him? I find that notion ridiculous I'm afraid. Most of the players from last season have left or have been told they can leave so not bothered if the ones left are unhappy tbh, they can head straight for the door

I've seen this movie before however and know how it ends so forgive me if i want to fast forward.

TBH, this approach from some of our fans is getting tiresome.
They seem to take great delight in patronising any of the support that wants to see action and make out that if you do want change, you revel in bad news or want the club to fail.
On the flip side they can offer no solid argument as to why we should persist on the current course. Certainly nothing tangible like track record or marked improvement in performance.
This isn’t a rabid high maintenance fan base that demand instant success or signing ‘world beaters’. We just want reasonable immiginative signings, fit for purpose, to play and attacking style of football under a manager that knows what he is doing.
Laszlo was on a shakey peg from last season and rightly so.
He knows the remit and to come in and try and play the same brand of turgid football after all the talk and promises of last season, should rightly see his position under scrutiny.
It's equally as tiresome reading rants about how we're fucked and the squad is worse than last season. Truth is no-one knows yet and there seems to be a fashion these days for wanting to predict doom and gloom then coming back to say "I told you so". It's not exactly Nostradamus stuff to say we're not going to have it easy...IMO the patronising works the other way and anyone who is not rabidly screaming that the end is nigh is labelled a happy clapper. There is a middle ground.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think CL is a good manager and I wanted him gone after the 3-0 Morton game last season. However, the current chairman has publicly backed him and stated the need for stability. Therefore, I think it's a waste of time to debate how long he's got when it will clearly take a lot more than an early exit from the League Cup to prompt the board to take action.

It's tiresome either way, rants or folk thinking those unhappy take any pleasure from the situation.
But my tuppence worth: I know an Arbroath player who played the full 90 minutes on Saturday, and he discussed how Csaba would have his team play in an indirect fashion and was very confident of the Lichties getting a decent result.
The lad also was briefly at Hearts as a youngster when Csaba was there, and said players didn't bother listening to his long winded team talks.

I’ll hang fire until the league season starts, but it’s not looking promising already. If it’s clear that it’s not working after 3-4 league games, then there’s no point in hanging fire, get him out and go and get Hopkin in, no phucking about for weeks trying to get a new manager, he’d still have plenty of time to turn it around. And we’d finally see the back of the turgid, sideways going nowhere football.

That’s just it though, a lot of the posts aren’t ‘rants’ and calling them such instantly undermines them.
They are opinions, if you don’t like being called a happy clapper, why would you do the same back? perhaps you can take the moral high ground and not refer to opinions as such.
I struggle to see why, we as a fan base, should blindly accept the same playing style that got us relegated and has kept us in this league just because the chairman wants stability.
I don’t want stability, I want improvement.
