If only 500k is the asking price why did Martin not just buy him out?

Thought the same.
Why the need to instead buy Gussie for 1 million? 🤔

Possibly because Thompson and Martin are still working very closely together and don’t want to change that.
Probably cos none of us has the slightest scooby what's going on so shouldn't indulge in wild speculation.
There's something afoot so let it progress & instead concentrate on the start of the PLAYING season on Saturday.

Yip! Said it from the start. I don't trust Martin, he might talk the talk but that is it.Â

Wrong question
Try - if it was only 500K to buy out ST why buy Justine's shares?
I've said before that the share purchase was odd and his late disclosure of same ditto.
I have heard (second hand but decent source) that an attempt to drum up money for Gussie from other wealthy Arabs was made (and failed) prior to MM buying.
Hard not to think he's simply helping his mate out although tbf I welcome the behind the scenes changes he's made - but time for some clarity from him imo

Any idea our starting XI v Arbroath?

Probably in the thread on the Arbroath game funnily enough - why not limit your comments to there if that's what you're interested in.

This should go down as an all time classic post. Pegged it.

Ok Scarpia it's just got interesting...
So MM bought Justine's shares, she had 33%.
The Tannadice Four have just bought Stephen's 52%.
So between the 4 they now own 85%.
If the 4 did it on an eeksy-peeksy (technical accounting terminology) basis they'd each get 13% giving MM 46% and the other 3 just 13%.
Btw the 3rd biggest shareholder before today was Arabtrust with 3% of the issued 98,000 shares. 4th biggest Littlejohn with 1%.
So it may be that nobody has a controlling interest but MM has the biggest, depends on how they slice the cake I guess.

You raise a valid point. Makie-uppy figures though.
I'm interested to know but not concerned. More relieved that we have shareholders in control that are not including foriegn invester(s) that don't/didn't support oor team.

Given the the thread title, a question on my mind is, I wonder what Fans United reaction to this is. Huvnae heard much from them recently. Be interested to know what direction they're gonna take.
Mibbee jumpin the bandwagon here.

Nah the figures are real.
I'm just wondering if MM wanted to be the biggest shareholder.
Prior to y'day he had 33% of the shares and maybe left it at that.
So supposing it was just left to JF, DH & Investor 4 to buy ST's shares they'd end up with 17% each.
So I'm just speculating on the divvy up. The four of them have 85% of the shares, that's for sure.
The Companies House thingummy will reveal all soon.
