Along with the sideways/backward passing, lack of invention, confidence and fittness in the midfield area, the needless playing players out of there natural position (Flood at RB when Ballantyne was on the bench, especially as Willo constantly drifted back to his preferd central position leaving the right flank gapping, causing Mcmullen having to stay or track back covering for him.) ... along with all that yesterdays other annoyances were our strickers, in the second half, 3 times mcmullen made runns to the byline and delivered very inviting crosses into the area with the goal wide open , 3 times Lyng and McDonald were posted missing, The other annoyance was not bringing on Matty Smith to replace the dead on his feet, breathing oot his arse Lyng for the last 15 - 20 mins. 1st place might not be dead and buried just yet but its well out our hands now. Hopefully use the cup game to rest a few and give the new boys more game time, and hopefully see some of our injured return for the Morton game.

Yeah, I noticed at yesterday's game that Matty Smith was stripped and ready to come on but for whatever reason Csaba changed his mind and didn't put him on.

Nah mate. Just pissed off at the state we're in. Genuinely worried about our future if we dinnae go up. Its depressing me.

Eight or nine days ago, Csaba was being widely praised on here (see The Csaba Effect): now the title has gone.
We aren't out of the contest, but St Mirren's consistency is hard to keep up with, especially given our last four games. I'm disappointed that we've brought in players who clearly aren't fit/ready suitable, and now we're half way through the window. To me, again, we've dragged our feet.
But St Mirren will hit a bad patch at some point: unfortunately we aren't seeing signs that we can take advantage yet. With the same pool, I'd say the title is beyond us: but I wouldn't write our 'challenge' over just yet.

Question: When was the last time we signed a player in January who hit the ground running and improved our team?
St Mirren signed loads who did last season as did QotS. Ross County do it every year.
Why don't we?

You seen anything of late that indicates we can do either?

Once we get some of the injured players back and fit, mainly Murdoch and Keatings, and start to play the squad in their correct positions and Slater gets his match fitness up to speed, I believe performances will improve, the cup game has probably come at a good time. Come on guys were not giving up already are we?

we need a couple of good wins to get the confidence back up amongst the players.
we badly lack a solid leader in the middle of the park.

I’m no giving up yet but it’s no looking good is it?
We need to win thon game in hand at Queens and beat St Midden at Tanny to have any kind of chance. As well as winning all the rest of our games...

Let’s be honest we have been well and truly fucked over with injuries too arguably the 2 best players in the league, can only hope that the boys Csaba brings in are half’s as good as fraser and fyvie

SuperMario, I think he has already brought in what he sees are the replacements for these two, certainly Slater for Fyvie, potentially the French lads as cover in midfield.

Yeah, and no chance we go up through playoffs either.

It was never on...papped regularly by St Mirren, Livingston, Inverness, etc.
Totally and utterly horsed by Falkirk.
Hopeless Draws with Dumbarton, Brechin and Dunfermline.
It was never on, we’ll be lucky to hang on for a play off spot as Livi, ICT, Dunfermline and QOS all capable of papping us again and finishing above us.
Not a team in this league fears us, only us that’s been believing our own hype.

dina ken wat ti say aboot that utter utter 5hite we just witnessed the day, that was the worst performance ev seen as a United supporter, and wus 10x as bad as the inverness gem that saw McKinnon aff. BRUTAL
cani single any oh thum not cause every single ane oh thum were truly awful.
Stanton & Flood in particular let ****ing Garry Harkins look like ****ing Xavi eh couldni believe what eh was watching, he bossed the hale gem.
the french boys were naywhar near the standard required, and people talking up the laddie Kadded after 10 minutes against a pert time side shows how desperate we are right now, 2 oh thum were poor.
big Tam is how he was last season, trys and fails putting umself aboot. He's on the grass mare than he's controlling the bah.
unfortunately meh laddie wanted ti stiy till the end (he'll learn) but did anybody else see that wee p**ck Jamie Robson shouting back at the fans, how ****ing dare he! the laddie is 5hite and was terrible again the day, he deserves every but oh abuse shouted at um the day. he can p!ss aff if anybody's daft enough to tak um.

Shouting back at the fans is'nt just replying to whoever he took offence at. I take offence at that type of shit. Not like he'd thank those that give him applause or cheer him on. Imagine how bairns who idolise him feel when players shout angrily in their direction. Mad Gav behaviour and needs fuckin sorted out. Òn top of that he was shite today.

Don't know whats going on behind the scene's but its not the first time the players have thrown in the towel on a game that was still salvageable this season under Ray as well as Csaba, still hurting over watching an avarage morton defender walk the ball into our net ....... fukin' horrendous stuff.

Thing is, efter they scored their 3rd, we were in their half for nearly the last 10 mins of the gehm. In front if their box a nunber of times, a number of passes fae Murdoch inta the middle to Flood / Lyng / Martin. Trouble is they all went back to Murdoch on the wing, and he himself seemed reluctant to put in the killer cross inta the box. That was the final straw for me.

Wasn’t going to post cause an seething but a few things csaba needs to do,
Lewis needs dropped for a game or two, his confidence is absolutely shot
Murdoch to get to fuck absolutely disgraceful McKinnon gave him a 2 year deal, play flood there In mean time
Durnan is keeping our defence together he is doing a job for all them cunts at the back
Quinn absolutely hopefully, need the edge(can’t belive I’m saying this)/scobbie back asap
Robson cross the Fuckkng ball it’s no hard, big time Charlie needs brought down a peg or two
Flood needs move to right back until one is signed as he can’t pass a ball
Stanton has been ok However has a habbit of hiding in games when we need him to take the game by the scruff of the neck
King where is the king of a month ago, when he has no confidence he’s a complete fucking passenger
Mcdonald jeeezo
Lyng actually think there’s something there but he’s no a winger put him up top wee tam
Keating if your reading this stop feeling sorry for yourself and get a fucking grip
McMullan stop acting like a wee fud

I lost count of the amount of times King had the opportunity to put a cross in but elected to pass the ball back 5-10 yards to Robson or Stanton to cross it instead. It then either didn't get crossed over, hit the first man or allowed Morton to get back and defend it properly. What is the point of playing two wide players then asking full backs to be the ones who cross the ball in? I really don't get it. Mortons wide players whipped in some cracking balls from the by-line.

Aye, and for their 1st goal from the free-kick, we had 11 players back defending, and we still couldna stop the goal. Even if we had cleared it, wouldna got phuck-all, coz we had naebody oot at the half-weh line waiting for the phuckin ba. Everychunt was back.
