Re: Jordie Briels

He's still injured apparently and home sick. If he is going to be out for a month or so may as well terminate his contract and bring in cover for another position as we are fairly covered in centre midfield with Flood, Fyvie, Stanton, Fraser and Allardice.

Re: Jordie Briels

Homesick lol.

He's only an hour away on a plane.

Just about all of these signings from Holland always seem to end in disaster.

Van Der Meulen - Truly awful
Bilate - Pish and not fit for purpose
Sneijder - Homesick immediately
VAn Der Struijk - Pretty pish then fell out with McKinnon
Van Der Velden - Finished and then fucked off before the play-off's to chase a quick buck i.e. disloyal

Only success story in recent times was Ciftci.

But 1 success out of about 7 is a poor poor ratio.

I would like to see is concentrate more on signing either Scots or players from lower league England (Motherwell have recruited from there very successfully as have ICT previously).Even Ireland would be a better option.

Go easy Roger. He'll have a wife & family to keep happy. Maybe school-age kids? Or maybe his family is back home & he's only seeing them once a fortnight or something, we don't know. Obviously considered the summer move carefully but his family has changed its outlook. Not him sitting in City Quay homesick. Your comments are way over the top, have a heart.

Re: Jordie Briels

Has been assured by Csaba that he’s still in his plans according to the Courier.

As has Lewis Toshney*

Re: Jordie Briels

In addition to his many weaknesses, Tosh has a few strengths which could be of value to our promotion push. A good manager should be able to maximise the strengths and minimise the weaknesses. We’re paying his wages so let’s see if Cshaba can get some value from the spend.

Bring back the (real) "United Way" not the kiddy-on Martin version

Re: Jordie Briels

Homesick? Bollocks. Maybe an Aussie or a Kiwi could say that.

It's not where you're from it's where you're at.

What about the striker from Ireland McKinnon and St J's were interested in. Did he sign for anyone?

He's signing for St Johnston in January.

Re: Jordie Briels

Notably no mention of Briels from Csaba when discussing alternative holding midfielders following Willo's injury. Don't think we'll see him again in tangerine

Re: Jordie Briels

He apparently has arthritis in the hip. Might need surgery / surgeries.

Don’t be surprised if he doesn’t play again. (if true, of course).

Re: Jordie Briels

Been wondering about Briels injury situ, showed some promise early on, but looks like more bad news then.

FFS Nae luck with our midfield. Hope Flood's arite at least.

Amazing if true, a few months into a contract with us and diagnosed with fucking arthritis! Jesus fucking Christ where do we find em? Our medical team must be the envy of every club in the land!

Re: Jordie Briels

How can the medical team have missed this?

A routine x-ray or ulrasound of the area would have shown inflammation of the affected area if he has arthritis.

Another disastrous Dutch signing.

p.s. i hope the lad can get better from it. A horrible, painful, debilitating condition.
