As been previously said it was a PR stunt all along.

Get that safe-standing terracing in the 'Palestine' the old corner between Shed and Fox.
An open terrace all the young guys can stand together and make a racket with or without their drum and they're
1.Creating an atmosphere
2.Not bothering anyone who wants to sit
Re-open The Shed so if it starts pissing down the lads can just walk over there and sit if they want too.
As i said previously what's the point of ripping out seats when we could use this to ENHANCE an already dilapidated part of the ground ?
Boom. He pins it for the one, two, three!!!Decent shout.
Would like to see something fan initiated happen.
For something good to take off it will work better that way rather than ST taking any kind of credit for getting this going as folk are split and already claiming he is mentioning a standing area for popularity/ forgiveness.
Obviously he will be the one who passes any requests but the fans are the ones who will make any idea work and that will take unity.
I 100% agree with all that bud, i think it needs to be pushed for by the fans but tbh i can't see ST ever putting in money for it even though he did say he would back in Feb.
Dundee United » Drum's at matches » 11/6/2015 10:49 am |
That's exactly it, it will not be banged non stop giving people a sore heed.
Dundee United » Drum's at matches » 10/6/2015 4:59 pm |
Gonna sound like a daft question but why do you guys not like them? Not even if they were played by somebody who could play and also not continuously banged the whole game.

No ta. I'd tell you to beat it if you brought the drum and sat beside me.
You'd tell me to go away or beat the drum?
Dundee United » Drum's at matches » 10/6/2015 2:34 pm |
Were any of you at Stranraer away in the cup game? We had the drum there.
Dundee United » Drum's at matches » 10/6/2015 1:11 pm |
Just a general question: What do folk think of drums at football matches? Why do you / don't you like them?
Dundee United » Safe Standing » 10/6/2015 11:06 am |
Only other place would be the Shed as the terraces are the same as when it used to be standing.

I remember ST mentioned it back in Feb but, as like i felt at the time, it must of been purely a PR stunt to try and get the fans onside. Would love it to happen at Tannadice

Dundee United » If Nadir was to leave now... » 09/6/2015 12:44 pm |
Agreed, for as much I loved Nadir when he bothered to play, he was so frustating at times to watch. Muirhead up front with somebody with pace would be a great combo IMO
Dundee United » If Nadir was to leave now... » 09/6/2015 12:31 pm |

Totally agree with Arab and Bowers, if it's going to work it has to been done in the correct way other wise, like it has before, it will just go tits up. I do think however with the right input and set up that it can be a huge success, the potential is there for it.
