Great news regarding Paton, has been consistantly good for us since he came (apart from saturday!!) Can see Aidan getting some game time this season from the bench so looking forward to seeing his progression. No clue about Lochhead but welcome aboard son, another attacking midfielder, we do love em!!

There is certainly more than a good chance of winning, they are struggling from back to middle and have little pace about them according to those who have watched them. Fermers by all accounts were right in there until the sending off!

Yes he tries too much when he should pass and shoots from angles he'll never score from but i'd ask you would you rather have him or Boulding, Daly, Shala, Graham etc playing as the target man. Agree Mario might be the main striker going forward once fully fit but Nads would certainly be in my team!

At times i agree Roger, it was a strange season looking back shit start, magic 6 or so games, then the debarcle in Perth (spunked a fortune that day on trains, booze and match) then we were murder again for about 5 or six games then we went on another great run before it fizzled out towards the end again.

My first game of the season after being in Perth on Sunday in the pissing rain! My last outing was the cup final so i need to get that out of my system and i am hoping for a 2-0 win. We had their number last year but the sheep had ours and look what happened on Sunday. Hopefully the boys are going to be more consistant this season and we will be 6pts from 6pts and still top of the league come thursday morning!!

100 % Correct, We lost and drew games last year due to the powderpuff defence. Teams knew that if they put balls on top of us we would crack and did in the majority of games last year.
 
This also heaped pressure on the forward players are they knew we had to score at least 2 or 3 per game as the likelihood of us not conceding was an ask every week as the 20 odd game run proved.
 
Also glad to see Townsend looks to be solid enough as a replacement for Robbo, even if he is defensively sound that will do for me.
