Spoke to one of the directors the night we won the league against Partick, and he said the Brentford thing is a lot of rubbish.

I thought at the time he might’ve just been playing the cards close to the chest, but it’s not materialised or had even the slightest whisper of it happening since, so there you go.

Not sure it's a load of rubbish. I've seen Matthew Bentham (Brentford owner) inside Tannadice with my own eyes. It may well be dead in the water now, but there were definitely discussions taking place. I'm led to believe Brighton were more likely anyway.

Told last night that our new groundsman's quit already and the pitch is getting some emergency work done to be ready for the start of the season. Wtf's going on with all the ground staff leaving?

The first lot simply got offered much more money to cross the road and sort out their debacle.

Disappointing, but that's life.

Disappointing if it was about money. The pitch was excellent last season. We should investing in good staff. The boy's a Utd fan too. Used to sit on front of me in the GF.

Sounds very promising, especially with the Goodwin/Miovski connection. The new recruitment guy has been a great appointment.

Docherty apparently injured again

Probably not the worst thing to happen at this stage. Dismisses any thoughts Goodwin might've had that Docherty would be fine after rest and a good pre-season, which he stated last season. Time to find a replacement.

The team was so much better with him than without him last season, this is a huge blow. Not sure why you can't see that tbh

What I meant was, it's better Doc breaking down now than once the transfer window is shut and we've gambled on his fitness by not signing a backup. We now know we absolutely need to sign a backup.

We're absolutely a better team with him in it.

I’d ideally like a game in front of fans before Falkirk.

Like it or not, we are using the League Cup as the final part of pre season. Again.

We've still got Luton at Tannadice, end of July.

Definitely still Connahs Quay.

Players are staying at Mottram Hall for pre-season.
