Ok Neilson talking to Thistle tomorrow.
Hope our board have at least started things (note: no idea if neilson is right manager).

If we have nae cash to invest surely it has to be found if we are trying to attract the right replacement for Csaba.
If MM and Co. are to improve fan relations on top of changing what's to be changed they can either just hope a new manager fixes the team without help or dip the fuck into money destined for their pensions. Ken what I would do if I was them but that's the difference between being high profile and just a fan in the lower tier.

How do you know this?
If true and also true that he was at the thistle game against county he has been spoken to in the past few days from them imo.

We MUST spend the money to get someone decent in
The manager is the most important member of staff and will make all the difference where we finish at end of season.
Look at the short term money saving of ST sell players for business reasons and to raise cash and end up in second tier. Also appointing the wrong manager in Mixu
If we get manager right we can get promotion and crowds coming back which is good business.
My preference for McIntyre first or Neilson second. But happy with either. MM needs to find out what either of them want ASAP and make decision.
Otherwise Partick and the Fun when they get rid of the pundit will have their pick

I'd want Neilson, tried and tested over the course, but unfortunately I think he'll end up somewhere else, due to our board procrastinating.
edit 'cause a missed an r out.

I don't see the obsession with Neilson getting the job, done well at Tynecastle with Levein pulling the strings but bombed down south, that on the back of very little coaching experience itsi hard to see what everyone is getting wet about.

If your statement about CL pulling the strings is correct it did not quite work out for Cathro so its a bit short sighted to say that Neilson was not the driving force behind Hearts running away with the league.
However the person who gets the job will be a gamble Tommy Wright might be available shortly if Septic score any more.

One thing I’d say about Nielsen, I remember is struggling and looking a bit disjointed on the field until he joined, then things picking up after he joined.
Not sure if it was down to him or the typical ‘kick on after xmas’we used to do. I did think at the time though he had a lot of influence for a fullback as you don’t usually see that
Would you say Ellis is out of the running now after overseeing just one performance?
Or if he is still in charge at Firhill next week & we win is he back in the frame?
Conversely if we lose to Partick is that him dead in the woods?
The whole thing's pretty ludicrous to be honest.
We need top decision makers within Tannadice's walls & I'm not sure we've got them.
How did we end up in this sorry mess?
We need an organiser and motivator. The team and players we have give me the fear as they cannot keep shape and caught out again and again from deep - from the likes of Alloa, Arbroath, Ross County, Ayr United and Dunfermline. Dont give a flying fuck who it is but I doubt anyone will be the saviour with the players we have. Thats Mikes fault btw.

Neilson to be offered United job according to tele sounds like he’s the new man! Hopefully a huge traveling support next week

The right appointment in my opinion, fucking hope I'm right this time!

Robbie Neilson was watching from the stand at Firhill yesterday, maybe looking at next week's opposition, but also maybe looking at his prospective new side.
If the headline and story are true, I wonder if the situations at Dens and Firhill have panicked our board into action.

ive not been sure on who i wanted to replace Laszlo
however the past few days Neilson has been who id go for and like others before him will have my full backing.
I hope to fuck this works.

The difference between Neilson and Cathro is Cathro wasn't promoted from within, he was brought in to do the job, whither or not Levein was pulling strings I don't know.

^^^^^ this
he is an organiser and a hard bastard. Think he will view this as a point to prove. Hope he brings in lots of changes. He surely sees this as a chance to show MK was well MK. If he turns us round his stock goes way up as unlike hearts we've been down 3 years

Happy with that. He seems the best realistic option out there for us.
Might try and bring in some of the boys he took down to MK Dons with him that aren’t getting a look in there anymore, like Osman Sow and Peter Pawlett. Both would be a big upgrade on what we’ve got.

It's a lot like the Levein appointment on the face of it.
A good spell at Hearts got him his move to England. Didn't work out leaving him keen to prove a point and re-establish his reputation.
Hopefully this one turns out as well as last time.

Most people going on about how weak our squad is, but I'm a great believer in man management, no' the arty farty kind, but saying the things that get that particular player going, now Neilson as a player was an uncompromising bastard, but having seen and listened to interviews with him, he seems to be a very knowledgeable guy, and I think he would get the most out of our players, and I would welcome him with open arms, but then I have been wrong before.

Must be a done deal. Told it was on Friday but through a chain of trusted to unknown.
Surely we wouldn't leak this to the tully if not.
I will be happy with Neilson if he's given the job.
I've not been sure who will be a success but thought I was sure we need a Scottish manager who knows the league. Want players to have fight an he certainly did have a large portion of that.
Wonder who his assistant might be.
