Fair enough David. I'm puzzled as to the clarification you received on points you raised.

Right....... on June 30th 2016 in the early bird period I bought an Adult and under 18 season ticket for £470 combined for the GFL.
When I went online to renew in the early bird period I was being asked to pay £510 this year.
The explanation from the club was that guys in the GFL Prime seats had been paying £20 a season more than Premier guys and this was unfair, so instead of giving the guys who'd been paying £20 a reduction, they put everyone up by £20.
The same happened with Under 18's and students, Students had been getting a cheaper ticket than under 18's, the Student ticket used to be £125, now in the early bird period they've equalised the prices making it I think £165 across the board.
My loyalty was being rewarded by asking me to pay £40 more for two seats.
ET lower season ticket holders in the early bird period were still getting their for £299, so why was I and many other being made to pay more.
£20 for my seat is absolutely fuck all to me, but it's a point of principle, 83p a game saving on a season ticket, miss one game and it's a negative investment.
Colin stewart thought it was a great idea re george fox pricing. He told the fed committee this at a meeting .

That doesna sound fair to me. Somethin up the spout there.
Are we not Season Ticket Mad on the forums?
Everybody goes on & on about them.
In the overall scheme of things they're not that important.
Yes, they flag up the size of support obviously which is why Le Fun don't publicise theirs but if I was the other ST I'd be preferring a winning team on the park which brings MORE fans thro the gate, paying at the gate & therefor more revenue.
I'm pretty sure our gates will be up this season so 4,000 st's will be abetted by increased patg customers.
Well done the st buyers tho, they should be wholesomely thanked & I hope they do get to all the home games which means they are saving money & then don't have to go queuing so much for cup tie tickets etc.

Said that ages ago. The club need patg fans as once season tickets are sold its a valuable source of money for cash flow. And lets be honest the away supports at tannadice this season are gonna be pretty dire so club needs as many patg punters as possible.

STs allow the club to forward plan ie they have a pretty fair idea of their minimum revenue for the season once the ST monies are in.

Yes that's all very true but I did some arithmetic & all that 4,000 season ticket sales pays for is the annual salaries of approx 15 1st team squad players. The overheads at Tannadice are considerably more than that so ST income must amount to a relatively small percentage of overall income.

So you could say smedDUm, that guys rushing to buy early, needing a deal, out to get a bargain are actually doing the club some harm, whereas as stubborn fuckers like me digging their heels in over a measly £20 are better for the club?

Dinnae. I got slated for suggesting that 😂

Thanks David B: the club does make some monumental errors in running their affairs.

Was in on Tuesday with the intention of buying, but it just stuck in the throat.
Someone could've turned up bought their very first season ticket ever, in the seat right next to me and got it for the same price as me 'in the early bird loyalty period'
Previously i've never even batted an eyelid, it's just something you did, even when they kept the price for 18 games in the Championship the same as 19 in the Premiership it wasn't an issue.
I've never even played the blind angle!
3830 now which I assume is last night's finishing total

Showing 3880 the day.
3949 now so guessing will make 4K guessing maybe even 4,500 by league start?

So am I right in saying that's 10 out 5 in and we are talking of more having to leave before we can get more in despite being just short of our 4000 target?
15 out, 5 in Boab. Expect that to become 15/10 if you-know-who gets transferred on. 15/8 if not.

Numbers seem to be bang on target, despite the apathy and product on park.
Good news, c'mon United let's do it this year !

No. More will come in. But Paul Quinn cant be signed until Coll fucks off because we cant have 6 people who can play centre half. Cant justify it.

Thank fuck there's someone else that can read a story, apply logic and make a decision based on what's right in front of them.
The manager is talking of upto 6-7 signings, so there's absolutely way there's a policy of 1 in 1 out, we don't have enough to go out for starters.
Online!
Needs to get midfielders and strikers and a GK in with the remaining budget, another defender needs donaldson's wage
