Would you pay 22 note to watch Dundee United v Ayr United welshie or do you agree the chairman is continuing to take us for mugs and ripping the absolute pish?

Re: Brian Welsh Q+A - Saturday 18th June 1-2pm

You took over from Mixu as Cowdenbeath Manager 10 years ago.

Why do you think your spell as Gaffer never worked out as you'd have hoped?

Do you think it was too soon into your coaching career for that job? Were you maybe too young at the time?

Or were there other factors?

How did you signing for Utd come about?

Who were you playing for at the time and who contacted you initially?Wee Jim or was it someone else at the club?

Signed an 's form in 1984, Alex Sumerville was the scout that seen me play. Wee Jim and Wattie were always at 's form training at Riccarton which my dad was impressed with.

Probably a little early. Management is difficult especially with part time players. Loved working with the kids but didn't enjoy management

Was there a frustration that these guys were working during the week and as a consequence you couldn't train with them every day?

Do you think in hindsight it would have been easier to be a Manager/Coach at a full time club?

Is that what it costs to watch 2nd tier football? That's an expensive day out.

Definitely easier full time, you get a proper opportunity to coach the players

Re: Brian Welsh Q+A - Saturday 18th June 1-2pm

Can you tell us a bit about your (very) brief spell at Clydebank?

Was it Ian McCall who was their Gaffer at the the time?

I mind horror stories at the time saying they trained on a public park with dog shit and broken glass etc everywhere...was it as bad as all that lol?

Afternoon Mr W, thanks for the fantastic memories.
I recently started coaching kids (call it my mid-life crisis). It's under 11s girls. Any tips you can offer this rookie "soccer mom" ?

Think it was Ferguslie Park in Paisley....and yes it was a shocker.
Needed games after injury and got them at Clydebank, don't think we even had a manager......some good players played there in that spell

My middle boy Michael takes girls teams around that age. He just won state cup with his U12s......train them like boy's and have them playing with boys as much as you can

Obviously golac will always be a legend for being the manager who finally won us the Scottish cup but what was your own opinion of him as a manager? I have heard a few ex players say he basically was clueless on tactics etc

As an ex team-mate of his, what is your honest opinion on Ray McKinnon? Does he have what it takes to get us out of the shit we're in?
