What is the Number 1 contributing factor in your opinion as to why United struggle to keep a clean sheet and how would you solve it?
They don't defend as a unit. Our defensive problems come from three areas. 1. Long balls: Our ch's don't clean enough of them out. and we loose out on too many second balls. Why? full backs don't tuck in to cover the ch's, central midfielders don't get in front of opposition strikers to help out the ch's and don't pick up enough second balls.
2. Corners: Under Jackie we started off as man to man (ditching zonal) this year we seem to have switched to a mixed system whihc is part zonal and part man to man (my old boy does the same actually). Our players don't have a scooby what they are supposed to be doing. It takes hours of work on the training ground. Work that if rumours are true, are not being put in.
3. The goalie was a total brainfart. Nerves have seeped through the defence as a result.
Better goalie, better orgainsation, more training. Success.
4. Stop the cross?

Sorry if I've missed anything. Watching Blur murder Coffee and TV at the same time. Did anyone go to the Airdrie away game in 94 cup run? Did anyone see a newsagents get cleaned out with drink, i remember standing outside waiting on my cousin getting a carry out and this arab just walked in and came out with 48 cans of lager seconds after.

Aye. Corners are a pain though.

Evening LAO.
Two questions..... one, cos you've puzzled me a bit here (you may not want to answer directly, initials will do, or tell me to fuck off), who's your dad?
two, have you a favourite unusual United souvenir?

Doomcaster has been assassinated on the steps of Hampden and you've been tasked with filling his boots and revolutionising the Scottish Professional game. What 6 changes/improvements would you make?
14 or 16 team league for starters. Summer football. European place for League Cup winners or scrap it. Scrap compliance officer. Make refs explain decisions. Scrap 11-1 voting. Financial fair play enforced so SEVCO get binned.

It was never going to win for anyone Bugs, but you were at the meeting and know that it was well intentioned.
It needed to be said though. Whats worrying is it appears little or nothing has been addressed.

Perfect summation, in hindsight.
I thought the timing sucked but may have had a better impact because of that, alas we ended up with a bitter support, civil war and absolutely no progress.

Yeah deffo. You are right mate. We've disagreed on this recently but its time to draw a line under it and move on starting the season afresh. They are still fighting about inactivity in preseason on Mad. FFS the season hasn't ended until after this weekend ffs and folk want all signings in place cos Hartley has signing his usual collection of journeymen and rejects.

My question is, what is your favourite United strip and were you a Sega Mega Drive or Super Nintendo man?I went from a Sega Master System (cannot beat Afterburner, Alex Kidd in Maracle World, Sonic 1 and Mickeys Castle of Illusion on the 8 bit system) to an Amiga 600. Sensible World of Soccer pretty much took over my life for about 3 years. Got a Mega Drive 2nd hand when my Amiga packed up. Fucking hopeless at computer games now.
Castle of Illusion is a brilliant game mate. Also Sensible World of Soccer = best football game ever!!!
Amazing. Sensi is/was the best ever. Need your own joystick though to play. Couldn't use anyone else's.

You know, by all accounts Liam is sound as a pound. I'd love to see Liam move away from the rock and roll stuff and team up with a band that does dance/rock or even some sort of psychedelia outfit. His voice would be the biz with some decent lyrics.
The track he did with Death in Vegas was really good.
