Re: Keith Watson

Daft letting him go just now imo.

Still an important squad man.

Re: Keith Watson

Jackie obviously sees him as surplus to requirments bringing in Mcgowan. And with Dillon already here for cover. Another of the wage bill for the remainder of the season if they pay full wage

Re: Keith Watson

Yeah, Jackie doesn't trust him it seems.

May as well get rid if he won't play him, perhaps his wedge that's being used for McGowan?

Does that make Dillo the last of the silver kissers?

Re: Keith Watson

If we are letting Watson go and Dillon is one of only 2 RB's left and also covering Left Back we must sign a left back,or get O'Donnell in asap.

Re: Keith Watson

McGowan hasn't played in 8 weeks apparently.Big risk throwing him into Right back with no game time since.

Totally disagree with letting Watson go just now.

Summer fair enough.

Re: Keith Watson

no point in having a youth system that generates players in EVERY position EVERY season if we're gonna hold onto half decent pro's for nostalgic reasons...he goes with my best wishes..i thought he would have been a good CH..i was wrong, we move on...as always

Re: Keith Watson

There are no full backs coming through from the Development Squad though, that's the problem.

Spark I thought might be first team material .But has been on the periphery a long time now.

No problem letting Watson go in the Summer, but not now.

Letting him go just cause he might not see much game time just smacks of the Brian Graham decision and would leave us short again.

Re: Keith Watson

Watson has been a decent player for united, no more than that. He is OK in the air but not good enough for centre half and he is short of a bit of pace to be a full back.  His biggest problem though was he does not stop crosses coming in which for a full back is a slight drawback. If he does go he will be remebeed as a trier who always gave 100%

Re: Keith Watson

got Dillon, paton, spittal..just signed mcgowan..been linked with o'donnell, push comes to shove we can play Souttar there and we also have young spark

me thinks we're covered there

Re: Keith Watson

He's average at right back and has been shown to be poor at centre half.

I like him. Good servant etc. Just think it's better he's away.

Re: Keith Watson

Injuries ruined Keith becoming the player he could be. Still a decent RB but  he's not in Jackies plans so time to move on.

Wish him all the best

Re: Keith Watson

Still no convinced this is a good idea.

Unless we sign a left back,in which case we would have adequate RB cover.

Re: Keith Watson

That's Keefy away officially.

I may be in the minority but i'm very sad he's away.

A silver kisser and a long standing servant,he deserved a send-off,no leaving oot the backdoor so tae speak.

Arabest Keefy.

Re: Keith Watson

It has been quite an abrubt exit. Whether it would have been good to at least hold on to him until the summer time will tell of course. Good luck to him.

Re: Keith Watson

Sad day IMO, despite what anybody thinks. Silver kisser, but if this helps the lad, then fine. Never forget him screaming out 'YES' in front oe us in the stand when he scored at the trolley park.
