Colgan was on a hiding to nothing that infamous night, tail end of Jobby McCall's era. Remember him being decent when he was at Hibs.

Honestly that period was beyond brutal and fae '98 till the Hibs Semi Final in 2005 it was just one false dawn and dissapointment after another.

For 7 years following Utd was a completely joyless experience.

That's why I think fans get frustrated currently tbh like Wednesday night.It's not that we've all forgotten the dross we watched a decade ago it's the fact that this is one of the rare seasons in our 105 year history where you actually think we're close to actually achieving something if we just toughened up a bit.So frustrating to watch us blow it continually.
