Re: Dundee United V's 'Well - Saturday 24th January 3pm

Been brutal, both fullbacks getting roasted.

Tbf neither playing in their best, or second best, position.

Don't think Anier or Dow have touched the ball yet.

Re: Dundee United V's 'Well - Saturday 24th January 3pm

Made really hard work of that.

Garbage first half, bit better second.

Taking off Connolly and Armstrong, deary me.

Starting Dillon and Spittal at full back, deary deary me.

Telfer the touch of class.

Re: Dundee United V's 'Well - Saturday 24th January 3pm

Telfer was head and shoulders above everyone else on the park.

Actually played some neat stuff at times, but were brutal at other points.  Morris did reasonably well, gave away a few needless fk's tho. Fojut was dreadful again. Spittal struggled, Aniers first touch has deserted him needs to get match fit to be fair, the rest were pretty much average.

And im pretty sure the ball crossed the line at their 'goal' so a nice wee break for us their.

Re: Dundee United V's 'Well - Saturday 24th January 3pm

A bit harsh shed to say Fojut was dreadful, agreed I have seen him play better, Sutton is immobile but can be a handful. Think back to Paterson,Alsford,McCracken, Chiarini and Lauchlan for a dreadful centre half performance.

Re: Dundee United V's 'Well - Saturday 24th January 3pm

Fojut was awful, never found a man with a pass, neither did Rado with his place kicks, straight out the park six or seven times.

Good to see Morris back, rock of a man, great when he went through that moaning ginger twat Pearson.

Morris and Fojut at the back with Townsend and hopefully McGowan out wide next week against the SSB's.

Re: Dundee United V's 'Well - Saturday 24th January 3pm

It took a while for us to get going but when we got in our stride there was only one side in it.

When Motherwell got one back we sat too deep and it was a relief to get the third.

Some of the players who came in never done enough to stake a claim for a starting slot next week.

Anier was miles off the pace but that was to be expected, not his fault.

Dow and Connelly didn't do enough for me.

Butcher was steady enough and deserves a slot, beside who i don't know but it will probably be Paton.

Three outta the front four should and probably will be -

-------X---------------Telfer----------------Armstrong
------------------------Ciftci

The X will either be GMS of Erskine but possibly be both at the expense of Telfer but surely MacNamara has to start with him after today?

Re: Dundee United V's 'Well - Saturday 24th January 3pm

Was at a night out last night. No in till 2am.
Motherwell were generally pretty mince, and lacked confidence.

The 1st 10-15 mins we had them hemmed in their own half, then the next half hour the tables turned on us. Team didna seem to 'gel enough'. 2nd half was better.

Telfer was MOTM for me, no just coz he scored twice. (thanks Rangers).

Had an issue with Rado and Dillon and Shifty though. Far too many balls out to Dillon/Shifty on the wing instead of down the middle. We lost possession a number of times thru that. Throw-ins &c. Either poor distribution from Rado, or poor communicating between them. Dillon a bit nieve to try to run ball out over on the by-line which led to their goal. But hey-ho.

Gamechanger for me was Shifty coming on. A strange toe towards their goal from half-way line instead of passing to Dowser who was running up the left wing unmmarked. If he'd lifted it higher it might have worked.

Butcher/Morris. No idea which one of them cleared the ball off the line?
Stretch unluckly no to score in each half with a couple of nearies.

Connolly did his best on the right-wing, but the service he got was poor. He's too wee to get the crosses played to him, so their left-back got them or they went out.

Spittal struggled and he's no a right-back. Nice punt at goal from him in the 1st half though.

Dowser. Great assist from him for Telfers 2nd goal with a lovely turn in front of the 2 Well players in the box .
Don't know about Henri yet. Didn't have much of the ball, so too early to make my mind up.
GMS made some good tackles but other than that, he wasn't all that much involved.

Jarek the Dalek. Great goal. Disappointed he didn't play enough diagonal crosses to Connolly when he was up the right wing unmarked shouting for the ball.

Re: Dundee United V's 'Well - Saturday 24th January 3pm

Wish people would stop moaning some cunts are never happy -it wasn't great granted but beh Christ -10/12 year ago you would take a 3-1 home win like a lottery win.

I came oot the Suite met St Obs and SV in the Harlequins ,then went in the Ferry and got royally cunted to celebrate.
