Apparently both are lining up a January move.
On yesterday's form would be a huge loss to the team.

If he plays like he did yesterday losing him would be a huge loss. We wouldn't get a huge amount for anyway because he's in his final 6 months. I would hope he stays.

I think you've both used the key words "if he plays like yesterday". Unfortunately he's very rarely played to that standard this year.
GMS is more of a goal threat than Aidan but I think son of Paddy will offer us more week in week out.
If GMS is going to any English team he'll go with my blessing, £250k tops probably.

I think GMS on form is could be worth more in his final 6 months than 250k. Some big games coming up. I think sometimes you just have to take a hit with your players and let them leave for fuck all. We got him for fuck all as well. Will be pretty annoyed if he goes for a couple of hundred grand although at the same time there is probably no point keeping him if he's desperate to go.
It's a tricky one

A very tricky one.
Personally believe his agent has had a move South lined up from very much earlier in the season (GMS would obviously be totally unaware, cos that's tapping). FWIW, this is purely my imagination, trying to make sense of how GMS could state his ambition months ago, then underperform so much by his own standards, even in 20's games, until yesterday?
Generally been a great player for us but, for me, slightly tainted this season (yesterday excluded ).
Imagination in overdrive, but it's almost like his agent's said go out and perform in the shop window against that crap and things can only get better.

He always plays great against The Fun, I can't remember his last 7/10 performance out with them though.
I think he's been a very good player for us who's played great a lot of the time however not so much recently.
Tbh I'd rather keep him and lose him for free in the summer rather than take £250k now but I expect that's what we'll get.

He was fucking excellent yesterday, by GMS

If we are to go one step further this year we need ALL our players until the end of the season. I don't think it would be a wise decision financially either as he may be the difference between getting us a higher position in the league or a bit of Silver even.

I think his dip in form in recent times might well have a lot to do with a falling out within the club. Woudl be one reason that explains his ommission from the team or relegation to the bench in recent games.
I think it was always GMS's intention to hang around here until his contract expires, and then walk on a free. Of course, I think that the ptb at United had/have very different plans for him and fully intended on cashing in on him just as we do with all our talented young players.
I wish him all the very best wherever he moves on to. Fucking tremendous player to watch, often warranting the price of the match admission fee himself.

Yesterday Wigan had a 150k bid turned down flat.
Today Sheffield Utd registered their interest apparently.
If he does go this window i pray it's not on the last day and we have time to get replacements in with the transfer fee.

No bigger Aidan Connolly fan than myself Bugs.
But he's not got the end product and match winning ability in his locker GMS does...YET.
He will soon though.Next season he will be one of the first names on the team sheet.

Said it before TEK, but I witnessed Aid progress as much in one season as GMS did in three. Not just end product and decision making, but the less attractive side of football too.
Also worth noting Aid's heart is bigger and he has the good old fashioned gallous streak where he fears no cunt.
Not so much showboating, but honestly believe he will eventually contribute more to the team than Gaz.

Don't disagree with any of that Bugs.
But still don't think wee Aid's quite the player GMS is at the moment.
If we have any designs on silverware this season let's have both in our arsenal i say.
We got GMS for nothing,we'll lose him for nothing...with 3 years of outstanding fitba thrown in.
Que sera sera.

Had a few convos with guys in the pub on Sunday and the topic of 'what price do we deal at' regards GMS was discussed at some length.
Most of us agreed 400k would be the bid that may just have ST saying 'deal' at.
If we get that for GMS give the whole lot to Jmac to strengthen immediately.
Get in Billy McKay and sound out Wigan about the possibility of loaning Left Back Aaaron Talyor Sinclair who hasn't been getting his game.He was excellent at Partick Thistle last season and turned down a move to Aberdeen in the Summer.
Also if Shaughnessy is deemed the required standard get him in too.
