Jackie says please no!!

But who's next to go
or can we escape the
the transfer window
without further loss to
last season's squad?

Re: Jackie says please no!!

think we can say no to paltry offers but if another daft offer comes in its ta ta

fantastic position now...money in the bank gathering interest to avoid any cash flow problems and if we look like having a fantastic season we can ride the storm come january and avoid any season ending transfers

Re: Jackie says please no!!

I am surprised no clubs have came knocking for Stuart Armstrong,  he is surely the next "big name" player to be on his way.

Armstrong is massive for us. Just think he's a bit too inconsistant. We'll get another year out of him IMO

Re: Jackie says please no!!

There are games where Armstrong looks like he could be a future captain of Scotland.

He looks a bit Germanic. Big, strong and athletic

Yeah, that final ball or decision around the box lets him down at times.  Was a bit soft at times also, but that improved as the season went on.

Celtic have tried twice to sign him, last 2 January's. 500k offered 18 months ago, rightly turned down flat.

He'll go next summer I think, and to a reasonably big club.

Re: Jackie says please no!!

I don't think Armstrong will go to Celtic.

The most impressive thing about all these latest Utd young guns is just how mature and intelligent they are for their years.

They can see beyond going to Rangers/Celtic and being stuck in the Glasgow goldfish Bowl as being the defining moment of their career.Sure daly went to Sevco but he knew himself his career was winding down and couldn't play at a higher level than Utd and earn more.

These young guys want to star in the Premiership or abroad, and it's wonderfully refreshing.

Very true.
Think we have to hope now that the competition for our players eases off now. I think Stretch can still improve on his inconsistency with another season at United spurred on by the forward steps that Gauld and A-Rob have made in their careers he'll make the step up too and in the meantime United should reap the benefits from all. If moves like that don't spur the rest on what will.

Re: Jackie says please no!!

Think it would help Stretch's consistency is Jackie played him in the number 10 role more often instead of stuck out wide.

Too much commotion

This 100%, but he's also had poor games playing there (1 or 2).

As proved by Ryan at SL and wouldn't be surprised if Stretch negotiated his own deal to the Bundesliga instead of the EPL.
