Ditto. Same here m8. Phuck-all Hogmanay.

Ne'er's Day. Post match cocktails. Home for tea. Then oot to a New Year perty on New Year's night, even though the wife's invited sisters and all her family up. Great New Year for me coz I'm no gonna be there.

Re: Hogmanay

Think I'll see in the bells with the Jim McLean years on DVD followed by the European years etc and by the time watched all that it will be time to go and watch the derby, can't think of a better build up personally without getting too personal.
Ps. I once spent 11yrs on the bounce savouring the delights of other Cities in the UK and abroad along with Amsterdam for the Millennium but i think this one could be the best in hindsight too hopefully

Hear their shout, hear their roar
They've probably had a barrel of ale and much, much more
Hooray, hooray, hooray, yeah

Re: Hogmanay

I'm not really interested in it either tbh. Usually sit in and have a few vinos. Do that most weekends though.

She took the hump about me saying I'm taking it easy at our mates on Hogmanay but I'm not missing a derby for anybody

That was back in the day when you had the decency to live by the bus station Seggy and the services ran pished people like me back from the hogmanay party on Edinburgh's Princess St after a very cold night in an open Police cell. In fairness it was quite easy to get lost there before they made it all ticket as the street looked like Hampden back in the day. Mind you, your partys in the Bond by the bus station were equally busy but you did at least have the wisdom to charge (the bandits that came with your brother in law) an entrance fee to those stupid enough to pay! Good memories indeed
